Great game, very well designed with attention where it was due! +Loved the VFX & Sound.
I had to play it twice because the first time I didn't catch the boom mechanics, but it still felt fun to play without them. I lost at the point in which one thoughts train would be more than 100% of the rails, so even if I got 1 or two words correct, it would not be enough.
PS: Not to brag but hehehe
Wow I am sure you broke the wpm meter on the left (just don't tell anyone, lol)
You're absolutely right. It can use more balance towards the late game. Thanks for the feedback... would love if you'd rate the game as well.
very satisfying
I loved the game, even though I'm very bad at typing and lost many times, I ended up spending a good amount of time on it. The idea is very good and it had a great and very original way of implementing the concept.
By far the most satisfying game I've ever played in this jam. Though, as everyone here says, the limitation is not clearly indicated. That doesn't make the game any less fun, though!
A nice polished typing game.
The first time I played I definitely missed some mechanics, so I wonder if the explanation page should go before the game play rather than after you lose. But I can see the appeal of throwing the player into the action. But before I saw it I assumed you had to type the last word in the chain, rather than any word, and didn't realize you can get rid of words by making color chains.
I think the use of the limitation might be a little weak. It almost feels like while playing you are destroying the bad thoughts not injecting them. The text outside of the game says I am injecting bad thoughts to control the game but when I play it I type them and the pop like I destroyed them. Combine that with the upbeat music and it feels like a game about overcoming your negative feelings, rather than brainwashing someone.
Overall an enjoyable jam entry.
Hey thanks for the detailed feedback. This is very useful indeed!
Amazing! The use of the limitation was not clear, but the gameplay was amazing.
Interestesting concept, I do see a potential design problem.
The most frustrating thins is the ? -> This changes the game into guessing
Another possible problem is that the words get upside down, this is counter intuitive to words you want to destroy with keyboard.
Very clean and fun gameplay though
Really nice interpretation of the limitation. It felt a little bit strange to me that when there are multiple of the same word I would only get credit for typing one. For whatever reason I wanted to be able to hit both at once.
I liked the colour matching element to the gameplay though, that added some word choice strategy.
Nice work!
Thanks for your comments. Actually, that's a very nice suggestion. I think I might incorporate it in the game after the Jam. It can make it more satisfying. Thanks for the feedback.
interesting take on the theme and limitation
THIS IS WONDERFUL
Cool idea! My typing skills aren't great so I lost quickly, but I had fun doing it, haha. 1 small tweak would be highlighting the letter that you're currently on, just for clarity. Nice work!
Thank you thank you!!... Just to get some thoughts on the tutorial... Was it clear that you can type words in the middle to match & explode colors, or you think this should be highlighted more?
This game was a pretty fun! It felt satisfying to type, and the idea of bad thoughts was pretty creative.
Thank you! I tried yours as well. It's super fun, I left some feedback.
