[Godot][Programmer/Composer] LFG to Develop English RPG

I have free time and an idea I wish to develop for the next 4-5 years.

Inspired by the game play loops of Stardew Valley in order to promote retention, it's a low/high fantasy RPG based in England. I have a general idea of the themes and story, not as much of the game play and main loops. For instance, I don't know if there should be parties or if it's solo, turn-based vs action based,  city building/defense elements or not, the extent of magic, etc.

I'm just above 30 years old, almost done with my (useless) CS degree, so I'm experienced in programming, and also grew up a musician, thus have dabbled in music production and am familiar with DAWs.

Hello there,

Maybe we can get in touch and find something we can work on together! I'm turning 32 next month and am a very experienced programmer. I can also do pixel art (16x16, 32x32) in Aseprite and can animate it as well. I love games like Stardew, creature collecting, RPGs, and automation/sim stuff. I don't want to create a singleplayer experience, so I'd love to create a game in this genre for a small group of up to 10 players or so, with dedicated server support.

Hey there i'm actually interested in working on a harvest moon-like game, i have 4 years of experience with godot engine and i specialize on Top Down view gameplay
I wouldn't mind making a single player game or a local coop game but i would advise you to not to make it multiplayer since the framework is kinda complicated but if it's needed then it's possible

It's not that I wouldn't enjoy creating a Harvest Moon style game, it's that Stardew has it well covered, and I believe you should always work on something you intend to release or that fills a niche. I don't think creating something to throw away as practice is ever the correct path.

With that said, I believe there's always space for new iterations of genres, and if that's what you want to do then I would do it!
