i think your background might be art possibly, because atmospherically this game was amazing, and well done on the intro. mechanically it was a bit less for me, movement felt a bit clunky and its hard to see where to go and combat could use some improvement as well.
The artstyle is sick! I don't really have much to add other than what has already been said but I will say that I would love to see the rough edges smoothed out so that this game can reach its full potential!
I think other's have gotten most of what I'd want to say down, but something I want to bring up is that the floors are often very dark and mostly black. And unfortunately, so are the stationary ground hazards. Because it's hard to tell what's safe and what's not in some places at a glance, I end up just taking damage while walking forward and not really feeling like it's my fault since I just couldn't tell the difference between the two.
Other than that, great work on the art and the whole visual aesthetic. It's really cool and sometimes rather pretty to look at. The cutscenes are great and I think I managed to get to the end? I got a second set of cutscenes after defeating an eyeball thing before getting sent back to the start, but collision was all sorts of wonky as I ended up wall jumping myself into a corner and getting stuck. I don't know what happened there. Still, great job!
Hi Gadzy and Thankyou very much for your feedback and your patience. We are aware the game is more of a concept right now and misses a lot of things, so we really appreciate your effort in finding the ending :)
I love the art style of this game, idk how to describe it almost abstract with the textures but it still is reading like you are playing inside of lifeform. Funny enough our games have very similar plots which drove me to download and play it. I suggest you use some more screenshots to advertise the game a bit more since its really cool and I wasnt sure what I was about to play before hand. Maybe put some of the frames from the cutscene and some screenshots from ingame since the world looks great. Awesome job I really enjoyed playing it. Check out our game for a similar take on getting shrunk down (we dont have cool cutscenes like you tho) we do have a extremely vast world to explore.
Thank you so much for your comment, Jack :)
I’ve just added some screenshots to the game page, as you suggested. We’ll definitely give your game a go as soon as I’ve got a bit of time.Thank you!
Nice concept, love the backgrounds. A bit rough around the edges but was a nice challenge
Right away I was blown away by the opening cutscene, it just looks phenomenal and reminded me of the cutscenes from metal gear solid peace walker or the yakuza black panther games on psp. Unfortunately, I immediately hit a wall a few seconds in as I couldn't jump on controller or keyboard (I hadn't checked the game page and instinctually tried to use spacebar and WASD) once I got going though I could tell there's promise, though I did end up clipping through the wall and ended up getting stuck. other than making controls a little more clear in-game and fixing the clipping, I also feel like there could be a bit more feedback when you're attacking and being hit by enemies, Keep at it!
Hi Brainz.Thank you so much for trying out the prototype and for your feedback.
We'll be implementing all the game controller commands soon.
We're currently focusing on fixing the various issues that can occur during gameplay in this very early release :)
Thanks again!
