This is super efficient in all that it wants to do! Well done!
I’m over here crying now but it is fine. Such a good concept and I loved the 8 bit style with it.
this game really tugged at my heart strings. the writing and themes on loss and seeing how you felt when making it made me really sad but in a shared experience type of way. i hope you find your own peace with everything and awesome job <3
Very nice game, i liked that even with this minimalistic art i could see each object distinctively from each other after i walked up to it and got the info (toilet is a funny one), audio plays nice with the emotional story, wish it would be longer, really enjoyed this one!
Such a nice bittersweet game. I liked it for how simple it was lol, and the plot twist was insane. The art and simple palette is very fitting and well made for how minimalist it is.
A sombre but beautiful little experience, thanks mate
Things I loved:
- Touching story with a bittersweet feeling, surprising for the jam (in a good way)
- Great use of minimalist artstyle to tell a compelling narrative
- Similarly, clever use of minimal audio to create tension in moments where it breaks
- The limitation coming through in wrong directions and unexpected turns reinforced the emotional core of the narrative
Things I'd love to see:
- I'd love for it to go a little longer, but seeing as this took you 4 hours (which is really impressive!) take that with a grain of salt
- Again putting the limited dev time aside, some onboarding to bookend the entire thing (even just a simple menu + epilogue to leave it) could elevate the experience further imo
- How the uncle would have reacted had we been able to come back and confront!
Really lovely game, very good job with the limited pixels and the music as well, the story was very sweet! (:
I saw on the discord chat that you finished it in like 4 hours? That's really impressive! Great game, the lore implications are very interesting... Ella huh. It's my first bitsy game I played. I love the interactions with pretty much each and every thing and everything implied through the story. The attention to detail is...wow!
Love what you did with the limited pixels and it had a really nice narrative. Impressive how you had interactions for everything, fantastic work!
Oh, that was absolutely delightful. Short little game full of emotion. The art style is so unique but it works so well. I like that it made me go and explore every single item and corner because I couldn't really tell what it was.
Man, what a cozy game. It made me feel what you wanted me to feel. No notes, 10/10.
WOW, so many emotions I dont know what to say. This was so fun, and was so cool to have you come and hang in the stream! would love you comment and rating on mine! Thanks for being with us and making something so special
