The game mechanics were pretty cool! I had the same not moving problem at some point and realized I could only move through the escape sand pit cards and got pretty lucky for awhile getting escape cards every turn to move. At some point I died but after that I was just able to move again. Some polishing could fix this, but other than that, I liked playing!
I had similar issues where at the 3rd stage, my character couldn't move even after selecting cards and then getting eaten alive by crabs. The menu didn't work very well for me either, where when I clicked on it, it wouldn't take me where I wanted to be.
I did really like the game and the mechanic behind getting the ice cream, I just wished I was able to progress more into it. The SFX of the crabs scuttling I thought was really amusing and I enjoyed the music a lot. It had a nice whimsy that I enjoyed that felt very retro. The art was charming, it felt to me like it paired well with the music.
A few suggestions for art-wise is that I wish there was more texture or indication of sand, and the cards would read better with more visual elements in it. The character itself also could benefit by some slight dark lines so that the silhouette stands out better instead of his skin tone and slippers blending in with the sand!
This was fun, I do like some card games. ☃️☃️

Little puzzle game, died on me in 3rd level and I could never move again... also menu is not working, you need to close it with alt f4 and that won't kill the game anyway as there is still running process in task manager. So, if you got my credit cards, private photos or some bitcoin, congratulations!

I can assure you as one of the developers, the game has access to nothing. The bug you described is a first for me in all honesty. I apologise personally.
It was weird, also you shipped it with two executive files (and folder "do not ship", but that happened to more people here :D )
Little mistake on our part sorry. We would fix all the errors and update after the jam is done.
Tbh, I was surprised too of the double exe files when I found out. One of those game jam surprises I guess
