If you are a player reading this review the game absolutely deserves some atention.
Really liked the game the concept made me remember of the old times with educational games and drag and drop of words, gave it a nice nostalgic feeling.
Dialogs are captivating and obscure enought that made me want to learn more about the person that we are impersonating.
The log of dialogs, search of words and the fact that the mirror has dialogs for a bunch of words ( even when they don't give a new usable word they add the the lore and vide) really shows the attention to detail that this game have.
I really wanted to finished it because i wanted to see the ending and the rest of the days, but i got stuck in day 3 trying to put how everyone saw Lila ( don't know if was the classmates or father that was incorrect because i wasn't sure ).
I've liked that when you put the right word in the blank space it got stuck there or something like it, so that way i knew that that was the right word in the right spot.
The sound design for the computer and mirror were nice in the beggining but became annoying after some time, a pause menu where i could change the volume would have been a huge help in that aspect.
Also when you requirements in the mirror the game responds as you put family of four in the mirror.
I'm really looking forward for any updates along the way, thanks for making this amazing game.
Really like the game concept! I got stuck on the status blank for the ID card, even with the clock hints :(
Thank you for playing! I’m glad you liked the concept.
For the ID card status blank, the key clue is on the education website . Try using [education website] on the computer and going through the school verification — that should reveal Lila’s study status.
Also, the clock hints have three levels, so clicking it again can give a more direct hint. Sorry that part was a bit unclear!
this game is so cool! i can't figure it all out but it's fun to try! feels inspired by obra dinn
Thank you so much! I’m really happy you had fun trying to figure it out.
And I love Obra Dinn too, so that really made me smile :)
I just uploaded Version 1.1 with some clearer hints and fixes for the confusing parts in 1.0.
Thanks again for playing!
how do you access the computer and the desk drawers?
That computer works with some keywords, just take it, release it on computer screen and it may or may not give you additional clues.
Oh, I didn't realize you could drag words onto anything!
I was not able to finish the game, maybe bug, maybe I'm just not clever enough. But I really like the gameplay of this, the game has potential!
Thank you so much for playing, and I’m really glad you like the game!
This was made in a bit of a rush for the jam, so there may be some bugs or unclear parts that stop the game from progressing. I’m planning to make a update to fix these issues.
If you remember, could you tell me which day you got stuck on?That would help me a lot with fixing it.
Unfortunately pretty soon, it was that part where you need to fill how other people thinks about you - Father, Mother, Grandma and Classmates. I think I tried all combinations that were reasonable. Anyway, it was super interesting! It needs a bit more polished UI and probably some bugfixes (like the word Classmates has unfinished string) but I would like to see this finished and I can imagine it may have some positive reactions on Steam etc. It even reminds me one Steam game I played last year called No Case should remain Unsolved. - check it :)
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback!
You were right — that part was too unclear, and the unfinished “Classmates” word was a real issue. I just uploaded Version 1.1 with clearer hints, log search, and a fix for that Day 3 text.
Also, thank you for the No Case Should Remain Unsolved recommendation. I’ll check it out!
I got stuck on the second page of the manual too--can you post hints (or the answers ROT13'd)?
