How did you fit the theme?
We fit the theme “Companion” by creating a game where surviving is only possible through trust and teamwork.

In Cookie Panic: Milkstorm Rescue, the Collector and the Oven are more than just two playable characters. They are companions who need each other. The Collector searches for ingredients and brings them back, while the Oven uses that help to recover its heat and save the damaged cookie zones.

Alone, each one is limited. The Collector cannot repair the cookie by itself, and the Oven cannot keep going without the ingredients. But together, they become stronger and give each other a chance to survive the milkstorm.

For us, the theme is reflected in that small bond: having someone by your side can turn panic into hope.

This game made me wish i had friends as it was difficult to manage both collector and oven at the same time as  a single person. The game has a very unique take on the theme. The visuals were also amazing

Thanks FutureKismo! The hardest part was coming up with the idea, but once we were all convinced, the development process was incredibly exciting! I'm going to play your video game right away; if it has a puppy on the cover, it's already won me over!

The game is very beautiful! At first, I didn't understand what to do to fix the cake, but then I figured it out. With some improvements, it will get even better. You might have actually beaten my game when it comes to co-op! Try it out and tell me what you think, is it more cooperative than mine or not?

Developer

I think both games embrace the concept of cooperation and make it their own in a very creative way. If one dinosaur is destroyed, the other can't continue, and you can control the individual or collective use of both characters!

Each of them has a unique vibe that makes them both great games

I like the concept for this game, it's simple and fun ✨👌 You don't get many co-op games in a game jam due to the nature of the web builds, but it's a fun idea for one of those games to play with friends.

Well done on the submission 👍

Thank you so much for playing and for your kind comment! ✨

We really wanted to make something simple but fun, and the co-op idea was very important for us because the theme was about companionship. It makes me really happy that you noticed that part of the game.

Thanks again for taking the time to try it and leave feedback, it means a lot! I’ll make sure to check out and play your game too. 👍

Great coop game, loved it! It was a little difficult to understand how I could repair the cookie at first, but it all worked out well in the end, great game! Loved it!

Thanks, The Creature Who Can Be for playing our video game. It's a really fun challenge at first, and I'd love to try your game!

This is a really cool idea! I bet you could expand on this by adding powerups, etc. but it's a decent execution of a solid concept

Developer
Thanks, icicle! It's a great idea to speed up the characters or slow down time. We also suggest adding a wobble to the cookie so it reacts to the weight of both characters. I'll try your game right away!

Thanks, Zac! We wanted it to have mechanics that made it playable again and again, so of course we'll check out your game.
