I ended up just kiting around enemies into each other and then vulturing the experience when one of them died hahaha I had a lot of fun :) and I loved the character creator. Nice work!

Developer

sweet! thank you for playing and for the feedback! :)

Great game with just simple fun!  This sort of hole.io /slither.io but with genes. My son loves game like this and I think im going to show him later.

Multi-player incoming? :)

Developer

thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it and curious to hear what your son thinks if he ever looks at it!

i hadn't thought of making this multiplayer, but.. who knows!

battle royale for genes!

I'm such a sucker for character customization. Behold, my first organism!

I thought the game was really fun, but I missed having sound effects and music. I really liked how varied the organisms looked just by changing the color & size. Nice job!

Developer

nice little organism, and good stats! :)

and yeah, i did the jam thing of prioritizing the wrong things for a little too long and ended up not being able to play the music loops i composed on sunday morning, hah.

thanks for playing!

Good execution of the famous .io browser games, it brought back memories. I am not sure if I liek the close combat or not as it makes the game harder and a little bit random since miss attack is a thing.  Its a very well made idea that fits the theme nicely. Good job!

After I found out the other creatures were way better at killing than I, I invested all the points into speed and basically zoomed around the map for exp (got to 7 I think?) Fun game!

I really liked the concept of this game - and like others, I think at first I was just going in and trying to attack everything I saw, but then realizing NOPE... let the others kill and I can swim in and get the goods so I can power up first, very cool approach! I also loved that I could zoom out and get a better picture of whats out there, nice touch.

Fits the theme very well, awesome job!

Today I learned something, The secret of evolution is to always third party others 🤣 Like this was the only way I was able to survive otherwise my every attack just misses T_T. Nonetheless Really good game. It was a lot of fun ✨

Developer(+1)

i did hesitate on the concept, because in real life mutual aid and sociability are much bigger factors in how evolution works. but.. that's harder to pack and digest in a silly little jam game! :P

thanks for playing!

Good to see you jamming again, Philou! This reminded me of the first phase of Spore in a really good way - I ended up playing for a good few rounds, because it was fun to try experimenting with different stat distributions. The randomly generated map is cool to see, too!

Developer(+1)

the initial plan was to eventually unlock a giant turtle, and expand the gameplay on land, but, well, you know how these things go. :)

The game is really fun and interesting ! I just don't really like the miss system; it tends to get on my nerves.

Developer

small mechanic spoiler: in the current state of the game, increasing your AGI to 4 should make your organism hit fairly consistently. :P

Very good entry! There is clearly a ton of work that went into this and it leaves me wanting more! Well done!

Very cool concept, reminded me of game Spore I played long time ago. Good potential for multiplayer kind of like agar io

Realy cool!  Cool concept and really good accesibility and controls tbh.
