[RevShare][Art] 2D Hand-Drawn Environment / Level Artist Needed for Playable Godot Action Platformer

Hey everyone!

We’re currently developing a 2D hand-drawn action platformer / sidescroller in Godot 4 and are looking for a 2D environment / level asset artist to help define the visual identity of the game world.

The project already has a playable demo, core movement/combat systems, and several character/enemy concepts in place. What we’re missing right now is the actual level art — especially tileset-style terrain, modular platform pieces, props, foreground details, and background elements.

What We Need Help With

Our biggest need right now is level asset creation, especially for our first major area: a deep mystical jungle.

We’re looking for someone who can help create things like:

  • Hand-drawn jungle floor/platform assets
  • Modular terrain pieces that can be used in a sidescroller
  • Grass, roots, vines, rocks, plants, and foliage
  • Foreground decorative assets
  • Background layers / parallax elements
  • Tileset-like assets that still feel illustrated and organic
  • Environmental pieces that match our existing character/enemy style

This is not pixel art and not a retro-style game. We’re aiming for a polished, hand-drawn 2D look closer in spirit to games like Hollow Knight, Nine Sols, and other high-quality illustrated action platformers. Attached below is a snapshot of our Main Character for style reference. Feel free to Join the Discord! if you want to know more or have any questions.
