My game is up — would love some playtesting feedback!

Hey everyone! Finished my entry — Ring Encirclement.

You play as a nano surgical bot. Draw laser loops around enemies, close the loop, everything inside gets cut. Bigger loops = more kills, but your wire is limited so you have to think about every circle you draw.

Would really appreciate if anyone could play it and let me know if anything breaks!

Thanks!

sure thing I’ll try yours now. Would appreciate if you get mine a try as well! Let me know what you think!

I played it for a bit! I think the graphics and story are really well done, but I’m not very good at this genre, so it might be a bit too difficult for me. I’m still trying my best though!

thanks so much ! I appreciate you giving it a shot!

Hey there! Just tried your game. The overall style and presentation look really cool and polished!

Just wanted to let you know about a small bug I encountered: the very last button in the main menu got cut off on my screen layout. Might be worth checking out for a quick fix! 🛠️

Submitted

thank you so much! Could you send me a screenshot so i can see it and fix it in my end? Thank you!

Very nice game, looks good, the overall game feel is great, music and UI well chosen.

The mechanic is interesting and fun. If... (if!!!) you still have time, you could consider mouse controls, could be a bit more intuitive.

Other then that, works great, congrats!

If (again: Only if! :) you have a sec to check out mine: https://chillzombie.itch.io/survive-a-game

I also really like Project Zomboid! I played your game for a bit, and the jump and dash sound effects are super fun—they sound like they were custom-voiced by yourself, haha. As for the mouse controls, I’ll definitely consider that for the future. Thanks for playing!

Submitted

LOL that actually is me saying "Boing" and making sounds, those were supposed to be placeholders, however, you are the second person who likes them, i might have to leave them in :D

PS: Project Zomboid is just awesome! I plan to create a more "Chill" version in the not too distant future, thats where i got my name from

Submitted

Haha, I think you could definitely make some funny/goofy games. Keep it up, keep having fun!:D

Haha, those custom voice effects are actually amazing! Definitely keep them in the game, they add so much unique charm and personality.

Also, the main character's massive coffee consumption hits way too close to home. It completely reminds me of my own game development process lately - tons of coffee and endless sleepless nights working through the bugs. Keep up the great work!

Submitted

Thank you! It's funny how quickly a placeholder can become an integral part. 😅 Oh, and also thanks for the inspiration: i need to add bugs as well 😁

I ran into some performance issues on the second level--- I am on an older laptop, but the graphics are clean. Good design. The language barrier become present when it came time to choose the cards/perks/upgrades? But I just picked at random and enjoyed playing until it got too difficult! Quality presentation.

Submitted

Thank you so much for the great feedback! Regarding the language barrier you mentioned, I wanted to double-check: was it because the upgrade cards didn’t have English at all, or did you happen to miss the language switch option? (I actually included a language toggle in the menu, so if the cards remained in Chinese even after switching, it might be a bug I need to fix!). Also, sorry about the lag on the second level; I’ll definitely work on optimizing the performance. Thanks again for playing and for your support!

Submitted

Oh-- I outright missed the language button.. I was to excited to start controlling the game mechanic. It didn't default to English, so I just assumed. My bad!

Awesome game, super fun, more about looping than spinning though, quite hard so maybe make it easier? My game: https://aajedi.itch.io/180

I gave it a try! It has a very unique gameplay mechanic, but I think you might want to consider the controls—I’m used to using WASD. Also, you could add some particle effects to the game!

Submitted

Thought of particle effects for landing and dying maybe, thanks for trying though!

To be honest, I'm a bit confused—it seems like your game isn't displaying or loading properly on my PC for some reason. 🖥️🤔

I played the first level and I really liked the gameplay. I felt it's like a mix between Snake and Qix, and I really loved it! Definitely the idea of spin to catch those different elements while avoiding being attacked give it a punch of challenging but tr's not very frustrating so with some practise I think I'd be able to be better in this game. Anyways, the most important thing is that the game feels fair challenging and it's very fun to play! Technically I didn't find any bug to comment or any aspect to polish, so you're doing a great game development! :D

Here's mine in case someone wants to play a GameBoy game with a super tiny story with a very small arcade minigame to spin for a minute: https://violetnoiamaca.itch.io/violet-noiamaca-spin-for-positivity

Thanks so much for the great feedback! I tried your game too, and I really love the classic pixel art style—the main character looks amazing! Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for taking the time to play my game and for giving me feedback. I really appreciate it!💜

I liked it.  A fun game and the explanations typing out had a lot of juice!  When the red boxes start multiplying it's actually quite difficult!

If you get a chance, I am looking for feedback on my game:

Thanks for the great feedback! Glad you liked the juice on the text. I just tried your game—the mechanic of flinging the triangle and triggering “Spinsanity” is super satisfying, and the art and music are awesome too. Keep it up!

Hey there! Just tried your game and it’s super fun! The gameplay and visual vibes give off some awesome "Just Shapes & Beats" energy, which I absolutely love. Really cool entry! 🎶🔥

Submitted

Hey Thanks Alexey.  You have been very active in the forums.  I JUST updated Spinsanity after a lot of player feedback from the forums!  Probably will keep working on it as we get closer to submission time.

Hey there! Just checked out your game, and it’s really cool. The core mechanic gives off some awesome, upgraded "Snake" vibes with a clever strategic twist! The minimalist visual style looks super clean and neat too. Great job on this entry! 🐍✨
