This is brilliant because in a limited way it hearkens back to the far more general game of the early Apple IIe era in the early 1980's which Robin Warinett wrote (the writer of the Adventure and BASIC programming cartridge for the Atari 2600), called Rocky's Boots. In that game the logic gates are used to kick a boot at shapes passing through a conveyor belt in different patterns and you had to time the boot to get desired (different per mission parameters) shapes.
Although this is far more specific and only has 2 things (nut, rock) it's still spiritually very much in that vein which is why it struck a chord with me.
Outstanding work, gave you an itch follow, if you like the thing(s) on my page(s), consider doing the same.
Cheers!

Thank you so much for your feedback! I’m incredibly happy to hear that the game struck a chord with you.
I’ve followed you back as well, and I look forward to keeping in touch!
I have updated the game to start in fullscreen by default.
I also fixed some in-game text typos and adjusted the background layout.
Cool game, Good job! Some comments: It was impossible for me to play it at the current resolution so I had to zoom in in my browser. Also the description for NAND is incorrect, since it should return a nut if ANY input is a stone. After finishing the first level I couldn't advance to the next one and somehow got stuck there?
Thank you for playing and for the detailed feedback! I appreciate you pointing out the resolution issue and the NAND description.
Regarding the issue where you couldn't advance after the first level, I haven't been able to reproduce this bug on my end. If it's not too much trouble, could you let me know which OS and browser you were using? It would really help me investigate further.
Thanks again!
Sure! I'm on Windows 11 and Google Chrome 149.0.7827.156
I was able to complete the first level but it kept replaying over and over again, and I could keep completing it and increasing the "Turn" counter everytime.
Thanks for sharing your OS and browser info! I tested it on Windows 11 with the latest Chrome (149.0.7827.201) and confirmed the issue with the screen size and resolution. I will look into this and plan to work on a fix soon! However, the level progression seems to be working fine.
Just to clarify the game rules: Level 1 has 10 turns in total. Once you clear all of them, you move to Level 2, and the turn counter resets. If the level changes from 1 to 2 and the turns go from 10 to 1 after you finish Level 1, that’s exactly how it’s supposed to work.
Also, I wasn't able to test the exact Chrome version you mentioned (149.0.7827.156) in my environment. Sorry about that.
Oh! Ok... But it's weird cause I could just submit the same solution on every turn then.
You're right that it might seem that way at first, but the combination of nuts and stones changes with every turn, so you'll need to adjust your converter setup each time.
Also, as you level up, the number and configuration of converters in the pipeline will change, which adds to the challenge.
I am currently looking into other ways to adjust and balance the difficulty.
There really needs to be a full screen button. I can't read like any of the text and had no idea how to play. I get conceptually that they are logic gates, but I'm too dumb to understand it or how to win. A tutorial that told you what to do for a round or 2 would be helpful. The current tutorial I couldn't even read the text so gave up trying to play it.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. Your comments regarding the need for a full-screen mode and a clearer tutorial have been noted, and I will keep them in mind for future improvements.
I would like to clarify that an earlier submission (Ouroboros Solitaire) was briefly posted in error due to a misunderstanding of the jam's specific guidelines regarding pre-existing projects. This mistake was realized immediately, and the project was promptly withdrawn.
I have now submitted Nuts Pipeline, which has been developed in accordance with the guidelines for AI Browser Game Jam 3. I look forward to your feedback.
