The main mechanic works really well, I struggled really hard with the rainbow nodes though, but that's a skill issue

Developer(+2)

Thanks! Yep, the rainbow ones can be a bit tricky. Hope you had fun :D

Really cute and well done! I finished it and then, after I saw the leaderboard i finished it again to get a better time (probably i'm going to try it again lol). Great job!

Developer(+1)

thanks :) i hope you enjoyed it.

maybe you’ll beat my time :D

I saw the possible shortcut (avoiding to enter the underground section), tell me, it's really possible to do it?

Developer(+1)

not in my testing. maybe with frame perfect but idk. i don’t think the star anchor is able to launch that far

Submitted(+1)

Ok so the best score was made by finishing all the game properly? Wow

Submitted(+1)

1:26 and i know that i can do it even better :D

Developer(+1)

nice

Developer(+1)

you know what you’ve started, right?

Submitted(+1)

I know only that i can do better

Developer(+1)

your turn bro

Submitted (1 edit)

Oh no. (Is there a way to restart easily? Because I need to exit full screen, hit reload or F5, and back in Fullscreen)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

well it wasnt initially intended to be a speedrunning game but MadAvidCoder added the leaderboard in the bug fix period (shh) so no unfortunately.

The frog is so cute. I enjoyed the game play and I can see so much potential. The mechanic is well done! I would focus on the level design to guide the player to be comfortable with the control. Also making sure to give the player more control might be a good idea. Maybe the player can control the length of the frog tongue which mean losing power of the throw but gaining more control 🤔.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for rating! Glad you enjoyed the game :D

Definitely some interesting ideas there, we might consider something like that in the future. I think level design probably could have been improved - we spent a lot of time on the art and mechanics, and only created the levels in the final day of the jam, so some better time management might have helped!

Developer(+1)

those are some interesting ideas! i’ll take some of these into consideration in future jams. Thanks for playing :)

Really fun mechanic! I like that if you keep spinning on a node, your distance from it grows a little. That was a nice touch!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for rating :D Glad you had fun

The idea is phenomenal, but the physics can be a bit unpredictable and glitchy. I'd also make it so you don't have to aim at a peg to grab it, the frog should just grab the closest peg when a button is pressed (as long as any peg is in the range). The range should be more clearly designed, I tried to beat my score but got frustrated when I wasn't sure if I can grab a peg or no. Anyway, phenomenal game idea with some issues worth fixing, still one of my favourite ones I've tried in a while!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Yep, I think your advice around the physics and grabbing is pretty reasonable - we've got a lot of similar feedback, and I think in hindsight having some sort of momentum based acceleration would definitely have improved it. Thanks for playing & rating :D

very interesting concept! It really hooked me

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed :D

I really enjoyed this most. I finally escaped the land of seriousness. I liked the different anchor point, it gave the game a unique flavor. The precision platforming was good, a little flexibility without being too punishing. Gives me slight Celeste vibes. Good job.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words! Yes, we tried to make the respawn fairly forgiving, to encourage taking risks!

Glad you enjoyed :D

Fun game, reminds me of rage games. I enjoyed spinning my way to the end.

This game is really fun, it deserves more ratings! I enjoyed swinging around the levels once I got the hang of the movement and the anchor types were very creative. I did find the instantaneous increase in speed (especially when grabbing while close to an anchor point) a bit unsatisfying, I wish the speed change was smoother so I could chain things in a more natural and flowy way.

Side note, I saw you left a comment on the "share someone else’s game" thread and mentioned both music and soundtracks. I thought you might like our game if you want to give it a go (no pressure though). It has in-house music, a sort of cozy and atmospheric feel and a mechanic similar to Reels Lucky (which I also enjoyed).

Developer(+1)

thank you for your kind words! the feedback are all pretty fair things that i agree with too. i’ll take them into account in future jams. thanks for rating!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

l'll have a look at yours when I get home :D

This was a really polished and fun movement game. The swinging mechanic felt great once I got used to it, and the visuals were really nice. It has a high skill ceiling, but in a good way, and the movement feels satisfying when you start chaining swings together.

My main feedback is that needing to hover the cursor over the anchor points and click can feel a bit tricky, especially on a trackpad or when moving quickly. A keyboard option for swinging, like Shift, or a slightly more forgiving anchor detection area could make it feel smoother. Overall though, this was a clean and well-made entry with really fun movement.

Developer

Thanks for the review & kind words!

We've had similar feedback around the difficulty of hovering the anchor points. In hindsight, I agree that it definitely would have been better to include a keybind for it.

This game is amazing! I realy liked the swinging and the game was overall very polished. My only critique would be having to hold your cursor over the points left click to swing. It can be quite tricky, especially on mousepad, to do, and it  would be nice if you could use something like shift to swing

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback, i wish i could change it, but when i implemented the cursor thing in my mind the thought there would be a need to precisely target specific anchors but that wasn’t really the case. I appreciate you taking the time to play our silly little game :)

Had Fun the swing mechanism is good and the visuals are beautiful but I couldn’t figure out how to pass that wall where the stair is a lot higher then the frog can jump maybe I as missing some more gameplay behind that wall but I will figure that out, nice try!

Developer

yeah mb we fixed that u should be good now i hope :D

thanks for letting us know.
