I don't know how someone can pack so much comedy and such an emotional message and feeling in the game. Between weird comments about spinning and the presence of a cat, finding the moments to talk to and experience the  relationships of others and the relationships that you as a character have in this land really fulfils an emotion that I did not expect the theming of this game jam to explore at all. I love the simple art and limited colour scheme too, it really captures the essence and intrigue of this small, strange town. The music is IMPECCABLE in the town and perfectly fits the feeling of familiarity and homeliness mixed with a longing that I think this game tries to achieve, and the quiet, diegetic moments of walking in the forest or near the shore really give the player time to reflect and think about  all the characters that they meant. I could hardly call this project just a game, because it really feels more like art. You don't just spin to win, you live to win. Beautiful.

Beautiful. I opened the game and spun out of curiosity lol but I'm glad I replayed for some exploring. The audio was so pleasant and the dialogue was always a fun read. Great spin to win game! 👍

What a sublime experience!

I can't believe how much this immersed me. It had me cracking up from my first spin, and then even more with all the characters and dialogue. Then the whiplash of suddenly having some established relationships in the game and that being revealed as you encounter them. Going from silly, to heartwarming, to jealousy, to toxic parents, and to a CAT. Man I just got thrown in for a loop getting to experience this world.

The music absolutely elevates this experience, props to the composer!

I didn't feel like I won on my first spin. After experiencing the world, I felt like I had won on my last spin :)

Excellent job on executing this idea!

What a beautiful  message!! Thank you so much. It feels like you felt exactly what we wanted you to feel and that is like the biggest compliment ever. Just thank you!!

The vibe of this game is indescribable, everyone who played won just by having the opportunity to play. Thank you for this.

Perfect example of spin to win in every meaning of the phrase. Can't wait to see others posting their speedrun times online!

the vibes here are immaculate. i dont know how you managed to make this little pink and blue island feel so nostalgic, like i was finally coming home after a long time away. the audio and the way it relaxes you and fades in and out depending on where you are really helped me want to explore more and see what else was on the little island. my only complaint is that there's not more to do, i think i talked to everyone and i just wanted to play more, i wanted there to be different interactions with people after talking to them the first time (the bowling guy and the free the nip guy, could we get more about their story? get them back together or talking or something?). that, and some of the collisions of objects made it hard to navigate, especially around the graveyard, to the point where i wondered if it was supposed to be an invisible wall keeping me in the playable area. if i had given up on figuring out how to walk around those densely packed areas i might not have seen all the characters.

really love this and hope more comes along one day

Thank you so much for this!!! what a lovely comment. I totally feel you with the game mechanics aspect of it. Truth be told, I am more of a filmmaker and writer (which i think makes sense for this kind of game hahah), so I didn't really know what I was doing for a lot of this. But i agree, I think there were other mechanics I could have added to enrich the immersion. Anyways, thank you once again!!

Damn, that’s a lot of dialogue written in one week. There’s some good puns/jokes in it too :D So happy I found the cat, was a nice experience.

I did not really know what to do in the game though, and whether there is a way to win. Some additional guidance on what to do to progress would be nice.

Well done though :)

Hi! thank you so much for playing! I am so glad you liked the cat and the experience!!
There is a way to win, but i think the game probably didnt render that for you in the beginning of the game, basically it said you can press K to spin and win at any point. But thanks to your comment, i made sure to include the instructions in the actual game scene  just in case someone has that as well.

It was like a beautiful surreal dream that really wanted to focus on what winning even meant in the story.  The cat and doodles were also great. Overall, it  was a  really fun experience!
