A very fun little game, The only gripe I have is I kind of wish you could spin in place rather than having to move every time you spin. Nonetheless, a great job!
I'm seriously questioning my chair spinning abilities, it took me a little to get comfy enough with the controls, after that I was spinning into the horizon. Great idea, great game, missing out a bit on audio I think.
This is a very serious game that perfectly simulates an office job. The puzzle of movement was fun to figure out, though I did tumble over one time and had to reset but it wasn't too frustrating. Sounds effects were realistic too! It's just missing a well-spoken narrator to point out your ineptitude.
A unique experience! The controls feel nice and intuitive to me and the theme fits well.
There is one bug though, at some point I hit a wall and the camera moved very close to my character and it wasn’t being reset, making it hard to continue.
Well done
a pretty neat physics game with nice ideas lol, had fun playing it but couldn't continue cuz tbf i was starting to get frustrated a lil with the controls, like i don't get why the w and s both push backwards, like i thought maybe the w could help you go forward etc, also i wished there was maybe a button like space for example to rotate in place as it seems you need to be in the right angle to push back yk, so i'd say if the controls were a lil easier so the player doesn't get frustrated quickly this game would be really cool! and good job on submitting nonetheless!
the most enjoyable game I've played so far in the jam ( albeit I've not played that many games ), might've been better if you could spin a bit before almost coming to a halt but I am satisfied.
If I understand what you're asking for correctly, that's what tucking in your legs (S) is for. But feedback in general is in the direction of the controls being hard, so we probably should have made a tutorial or easier controls ^^ Thanks for playing!
oh my bad I didn't look at the W and S controls. That makes it a lot better. Although what I was saying was if players can boost themself mid spin before coming to a halt rather than waiting for the current spin to end, current controls are fine
Dang, I AM jealous of the dude with the spinning office chair, lol. This was a very neat idea, but I had a hard time being patient with the controls/physics even though they were intuitive; there's very much an audience for this kind of game similar to folks that enjoy Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy probably! I think having some coworkers walk around that you can bump into would be a fun touch, the office is lonely right now. I was spinning around for quite a bit though and the SFX were spot on! Nice work!
Controls being hard seems to be the sentiment ^^ I would have liked to add more life to the office but we lacked the time. Thanks for noticing the sfx, fixing those was a real pain point the last day before the deadline, so I'm glad they found some appreciation. Thanks for playing!
hahaha i love this one it fits the theme perfectly also it takes some patience to win it great game and hope you get nothing but great ratings !
Very serious, and I have managed to finish the game!
Very serious business work, yes :D Thanks for playing!
Poor choice of controls
As in, the specific keys or just the general way to control the character?
More about the controls in general, I expected to have a fun time spinning around in chairs, but unfortunately I struggled with the controls for a long time and didn't have any fun.
Such a cool concept. Took me quite a while to get the hang of the controls, but I still had a lot of fun. Glad the game doesn’t overstay its welcome, although for me it actually felt a little too short. Overall — awesome game.
Thanks for playing! There's always a plan to make something bigger in a jam, but we didn't get to it in time ^^
This is one of the most
stupidserious games I've ever played, great job guys! This is a silly experience in real life, and you pulled it off as silly as it is in a videogame. It also becomes stupidly complex to the point you ask yourself if it's worth it, and don't get me wrong, that's also a compliment because it's how you feel when you do it poorly in real life too! It was really satisfying to complete the first mission. Not sure if the music is there because I see the setting but I can only hear the SFX. To me the spinning couldn't be more adhered to the spin to win theme and the seriousness is exactly what I'm looking for: serious but "serious". The ties and the kid hats. Really enjoyed it! You guys are winners in my narrative and this game could get more insane with something like motion controls or touchscreen input.
Thanks a lot! Unfortunately music was something that we just didn't get to in time and the slider stayed accidentally. However you bringing that up made me look into why the chair sound wasn't working, so at least that's fixed now!
"Stanley went from pressing buttons to spinning in a chair."
