i really like the general idea of keeping the campfire alive with the wood collecting! drawing xircles arounf the enemies also gets really fun! though, sometimes I can just draw a line, and it gets them anyway. I survived til like night 3. the sprites here are fun as well! the protag is cute and the monsters, though dangerous, are pretty cute as well. this was a fun game submission for the jam! i hope you continue to make games.

Developer

wow thank you so much for the kind words and for playing our game.

I think that the general idea of the game is really interesting.
It could be a clever twist to a vampire survivor-like game and if polished, I genually believe it could have a good potential. Keep it going!

Cool art, and fitting sounds. There is not much incentive to move around, partly because, as others have noted, the circling mechanic isn't really working.

Love the visuals. I suppose technically this fits under the theme. Ig it is a bug that I can kill things by just clicking on them. And I could just keep playing after loss.

Thank you for playing our game and for the feedback

I don't see the "spinning theme" here. I guess this was a game before the JAM.
Not thinking about that…
I liked the idea, the sprites, but, i didn't think i was doing damage to the enemies. Maybe you should add some visual feedback to the player so they know they are doing damage.

Developer

thank you for playing the game and the feedback we really appreciate. for the spinning theme you have to spin you mouse around the enemy to make a circle to kill them. Its our first game so I appreciate any feedback.

Ohhhhh that makes a lot of sense!!! hahahah, so sorry. You should state that in the game maybe. Congrats for finishing your first game tho!

Its all good it says in the tutorial but next time I will make it easier to understand.

I like your sprites, and the audio is quite nice too.

The game is a good idea, but either I'm doing something wrong or there are a couple of bugs:

Holding the fire over enemies appears to have no effect, but clicking on them instakills them.

At some point I "froze to death" but the game kept letting me play and didnt actually kill me.

More enemy variants could be cool!
