Very serious game! Less about spinning to win besides the revive mechanic (which was my favorite part). The visuals need a tiny bit of work, but is getting there. I enjoyed and wish there was upgrading to get me hooked for longer. Well done for finishing and excited to see what you do next or how you update his post-judging.

Congrats on finishing the jam :)
The main gameplay isn't anything terribly new, but I liked the tuning of it: the limited fire rate kind of forces a trade-off between dodging and shooting, and sometimes it's better to accept that you won't get the points, in order to survive a wave.
For me, the most satisfying part was the CPR minigame after getting hit. That was a very cool change of pace, and the AED sound after winning was super satisfying. And I like that it gives you a few tries at the main game, with increasing difficulty to keep going. Very nice touch.
Nice work, especially for a first game!
I had a lot of fun with this one! It reminded me a lot of Galaga. I also really liked the revival spinning mechanic. I would have really liked to see some upgrades that you can unlock allowing you to get more powerful as the game gets more difficult. Overall a great entry. Nicely done!
Nice! This is a great submission especially for a first project. The cpr revive makes getting hit feel less punishing but at the same time, its not free either, especially cause it ramps up difficulty. It took me a second to realize that the cpr didnt start immediately, so maybe having a small countdown would provide more clarity. I also think the game would benefit a lot from some sort of incentive to not let objects get past you, so the player feels more pressured to put themselves at risk. It's also really wholesome that you did this with your family. Good job :)
I really liked the CPR mechanic, would have loved to see more of that incorporated into the game (potential upgrade for faster shooting??) I think a shoot-em-up inside of a blood vein is a unique idea ripe for potential! Itβs awesome that you and your wife made this together :) Our game was made by my girlfriend and I, so we can relate to the experience and satisfaction of completing it.
The artwork is great, and the respawn minigame was so juicy and satisfying! Loved the overall polish!
A nice lil game. Would be cool to see more stuff like the CPR idea in the normal gameplay for variety, but the gameplay itself is fine :)
I wouldn't call it a fun game, but for the first one it's great, visuals are amasing, more variety and SFX would make it times better!
The theme is cleverly great. A little more variety would benefit, but still a good little game
Very serious!
This is a stylish and simple little game, impressive for a first jam! I will say the CPR mechanic to continue is a little unforgiving to start with, and the pill bullets move slightly slowly for how many obstacles there are. A little variety in audio and obstacle designs could have elevated the atmosphere- but aside from that, the finish is incredibly polished! Well done!
my high score was 5500...
Love the energy. Aspect ratio is a little strange on pc. Sound design is great and the escalating difficulty with reviving scales well.
Really cool and enjoyable game, though it would be nice if it was communicated that you wont lose if you let something past, got hit a few times by trying to stop something thinking it would be wraps if i didn't, also some more hazards/enemies would be nice to stop things getting stale after a bit!
Totally agree on the number of enemies. We had plans for plaque on the walls, bacteria that might chase you, and power-ups, but just ran out of time π. Never thought about them getting past you. I wonder if I could decrease the wave amounts and have it take away points if they do get past. Was it more fun with more enemies or trying to keep them from getting past? Thank you so much for playing and the great feedback!
Visuals and concept good, a spin mechanic is added at the end - Consider adding that to the core loop!:) its funny, refreshing and fits your game theme very well
Ahh, thank you for clarifying! I kinda spammed the space button all the time and skipped the last part. I like that mechanic, as a fail safe. But its more like a spin to safe, than spin to win. But that has potential! Consider adding some of that to the main game :) (ill change the comment, cause now I understood the whole game, ty!)
Cool, simple game, I like it. Maybe a full screen button would be nice.
