A great representation of irrational urges that are used to come into our brains at the worst moments, a really serious topic.
Not a Contestant is also a great name in my opinion, presents the idea by itself and is not similar to anything I've heard before honestly.  Audio and gameplay need some polish but I think I got the point you are trying to convey! The art style is cool (loved the cover art too!)  but I personally think there is too much dark and light contrast, maybe you could try with patterns, coloring and trasparencies to  represent the visual range of the guards. Like "red lanterns" or so.

It was hard at first but when I figured out you can hide in crowds it made it easier and more fun

The animations are immaculate, but the difficulty tends to scale really fast (spin 6 is kinda hard, skill issue) and once you're caught you def caught. Enjoyment wise I gave it a 4 but if there was another mechanic like dashing or outrunning the red meter guards It would have been a 5. Overall enjoyable.

Thanks! Yeah I wanted it to feel hectic at later waves, but didn't have the time/skill to tune it right, or add another movement mechanic like you mention
