Nice Idea, Really loved the art and how world literally spins
interesting concept, maybe make a quota of fruit for every round? my high score was 148
very fun game^^
Loved the rotation aspect of the game and the fact the music kept getting faster... really kept me focused! Keep making games!
So cute, and the rolling animation is such a nice detail! I got exactly 200 score before I died hahahah, and the way the music just kept going and the timer got shorter definitely had me locked in like crazy :b
I think my only critique is that you could end up in a position with no way of dodging damage if the stage started spinning while you are on the lower part of a stage, but this could largely be avoided by staying on the upper parts! Really creative to switch between levels like this tho, I thought it was great fun!
So cute! I was not expecting the world to literally flip haha! I did land on the sunflower after it kept spinning unfortunately :( but other than that I like it, great job!
Incredibly cute game, and perfect use of the theme! Well done! The hedgehog is adorable!
Also the animation and sound of the world-spin is really cool. Small details, but it sells it very well!
I've encountered a few small issues:
Those are small things though! I really like the game! Well done. And by the way my high score was 116, I hope that's decent :)
Thanks so much for playing and for the detailed feedback :D Some answers to your questions...
116 is a very good score! Thanks again :D
The hedgehog is so adorable. Good job!
I was instantly sold when the hedgehog started rolling when i pressed A D.
Very very cute game! I did have the issue where I ran into sunflowers when spinning as I didn't know where they were, but that's not really that bad for a short and sweet game like this. I do want to ask just because I'm curious, why are the sunflowers evil?
So glad you liked it and thanks for playing! Haha good question, originally the sunflowers were the spinning platforms that you could land on but we swapped them with the logs because they looked spikier... no other reason! :D
The world spins, the character spins the platform spins, everything spins xd. The art is cute and I love the mechanics and the world spinning, nice idea and execution!
I love the idea of a platformer where the world itself rotates. A simple concept, but one that opens up potential difficulty levels, secrets, and so much more!
I really liked the spin the world mechanic, controls were easy to grasp, I could get to around 310 score before the world-spin sent me straight to sunflowers and made me lose haha.
I noticed the time for spin is clamped at 6, but the music speed-up is never, the audio becomes very odd the longer the game is played. Also, the difficulty doesn't seem to increase at all, so it's just a matter of avoiding anywhere near sunflowers or wait until next spin to be safe.
Other than that, I had a lot of fun with it! I think it's the submission I've played the longest so far.
Wow that's a very high score - never got that high so can imagine the music sounded very strange! Definitely need to think about making the game harder somehow when you get to the end so it's more of a challenge for players. Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback :D
Cool twist on the theme. Spinning the whole world in a platformer is so fun. I think I got 70 blueberries before falling into a sunflower.
The music getting faster was a nice touch, made it stressful!
Had fun with this one, great platformer!
Really enjoyed this one! Was a bit blown away when it zoomed out and the entire world started to spin!
My only really issues were the randomness of landing after the world spin, I had moments where I would be thrown into a sunflower and then immediately fall out of the world, and the level building at times feeling too tight and at other times feeling too loose.
But still, enjoyed this one a lot and it was pretty fun to play! Hope you will be making more games!
Thanks so much for the feedback! Agree about the level building & need to have a think about how best to make sure you don't fling off the world immediately. So glad you enjoyed it though and will definitely be making more games :D
Loved the unique take on the spinning theme, nice little platformer with surprisingly tight controls
How much spin should I add to my game - Yes. Loved the visuals and the mechanic, great job!
Really fun game liked the audio getting faster. if only it would get even faster and harder would prob be a 10/10
I really liked the multidimensional use of the spinning theme: hedgehog, the world, tornados- it was genuinely a really fun experience, the first time the world spun I was just like OH MY GOD, it really gave me this visceral rollercoaster-like feeling which I have actually never gotten before from a game. Great job, I think I will return to this a bit later
Thanks so much! Really glad you liked it :D
fun game, I liked the level transition effect, and the hedgehog is cute
This is pretty fun! One thing to improve tho, upon each spin, you are always teleported to a new location completely far away from your last, so it's basically pointless to progress in the world. It'd be interesting if the world just spinned without teleporting you, and you'd have to adjust for the spin to make sure you land on a platform :P
that way you'd actually have to travel the world in order to find new berries (since eaten berries would take e.g. 30s to respawn), instead of just existing and not being able to go anywhere meaningful since you'll get teleported anyway.
This is a really cool idea! Love the idea of delaying the berries respawning too so you actually have to go somewhere. Thanks so much for the feedback :D
