A few years back Paypal burst a blood vessel because I tried to buy something from south america (no not cocaine!) and perma-banned me. I hadn't actually done anything wrong except try to buy something from the other hemisphere. I freaked out and asked what the actual reason was and they said that they never tell people why they're banned. It was crazy. I basically lost an account I'd been using since the dawn of Paypal.

Anyway, now I can't use Paypal. Ever. Not even under a different account (they check). So if Paypal is the only way to buy something, I'm basically forbidden to buy it.

I know there are subscription options but I hate subscriptions.

Is there any way I can pay on the side and get a key I can redeem here or something? I love messing with character creators and I really want to try the VaM(X) one. I know I could install VaM itself and just figure out all the stuff I need to do, but I wanted to use VaMX.

Your only option would be to get a subscription for one month, then cancel it, if you don't want to buy through itch.io

Oh, I assumed it would stop working if my subscription ran out. Okay, I'll do that, thanks! 🙂

BTW I would love to buy through itch, it's just that paypal being the only option makes that impossible. I normally use the credit card I have on file. But I get that sometimes certain genres have to use paypal, because other processors are dicks.

The AI Chat part does require you to continue to subscribe (through itch.io you buy it again each month if you still want the AI Chat part, but keep the rest of vamX). If you buy through itch.io it does require PayPal, but PayPal should be able to process mastercard/visa through PayPal. If you get a monthly subscription, you get a password for that month. Then you can continue to use everything till that password gets changed for the next month. You can always subscribe each month, download what you need including the passwords, then cancel right away, if you prefer to not stay subscribed.

Just to clarify something, because i was talking to someone about this and i think they misunderstood this.
from my understanding once the month expires the VAMX as it changes the password the person also lose the access to the game until the subscription is renewed. am i right?

You keep vamX, but lose access to AI Chat. The password is only required for AI Chat.

Can you make A basic setup Video, tutorial, SOMETHING!!!! The people only care about there problems not yours. I can't even set it up, I'm not paying until I even now if its worth it.

For Virt-a-Mate + vamX it comes already set up and ready to go. When you open it you can click the HELP -> Main tutorial and follow step by step as it guides you through learning in-game.
