This is a pretty cool game! I do wish there was some indication of when you hit an enemy (like a sound effect or a change in color or smthing), since I didn't always know if my shot landed or not. I like the different weapons, thats a really nice idea! Overall it could do with some more features, but as you said its your first game (just like me lol) I think that's fine, this whole game-making stuff is hard xd. Also the art looks really good, really fits the whole vibe of the game!

Congratulations on your first game! Aside from what others have pointed out, I'd also suggest some more dynamic enemy design. Maybe some enemies that speed up others around it, have erratic movement, shoot projectiles that can be destroyed by your shots, etc. These are just examples, not direct suggestions.
And the upgrades seemed almost entirely in favor of enemy weakness, as it essentially acts as +damage most of the time. There's no reason to pick HP because you simply outdamage enemies until you get outdamaged. HP doesn't change the outcome when they all gang up on you, it's already inevitable by that point. Clip size is alright at first, but after a few upgrades, it increases your overall damage output by a negligible amount compared to weakening enemies directly. (Edit: I now realize I probably just got unlucky and weapon upgrade improves a random aspect of your weapon. Is this correct?)
Also, the spinning should be more important to your game, but it's understandable because this is your first jam. It's a learning experience!
I like the idea of a tower defense where you have to aim though, just needs some more mechanical depth and balancing!
Took me a while to realize that money is preserved after death. Also, the machine gun weapon seems a bit funky, I feel like it should shoot while you're holding the mouse instead of using a switch that turns it on and off. I also think more cues when you hit the enemies would make the game much better; on anything other than a one-shot it was really hard for me to tell if I was even hitting the enemies at all.
Anyway, congratulations on your first game!
Thank you for the feedback! Yeah I was thinking of making the machinegun a hold to shoot but I got used to the on/off function so I just left it. I was thinking of adding hitmarkers to the enemy when you hit them, but I hit a nightmare when I was doing a hurt sound when they hit you because it was so loud and annoying ahah.
Aiming should maybe be a bit more lenient, very cute game though overall.
I LOVED this cute little game! I had so much fun getting upgrades!
Interesting game idea, I would like if there was some feedback for when my shots are on cooldown, because when I get the sniper, I sometimes dont understand when I am allowed to shoot yet
