A fun little game, really enjoyable to play and to explore the space. Sometimes it is a bit unclear where shots are landing and some more feedback from when you hit enemies would be good. The audio complements the visual style, but is also just a bit too crunchy perhaps. Overall a very good job, well done!!!
Felt pretty good to play, though the dash took some getting used to given it went in the direction you were facing instead of moving. The base move speed also felt a bit slow at times.
Ultimately I feel like with a bit of polish and juice this could feel really good to play. Having the camera pop into the larger framing during combat, then opening doors up when done to let you freely move after, with the camera following closer? Some music would go a long way to fit the vibe and bring it all together, maybe included with some visual effects for bullet impacts and enemy reactions to really bring it all home?
Its a solid prototype though, and the procedural level generation is pretty neat.
the game seems mostly 2D, not sure if its worth it working in 3D world. i think the doors should close whenever the player enters a room that isn't empty, right now i was able to leave rooms with enemies and bosses just fine. the initial shooting sounds almost made me deaf, very realistic! other than that it looks like the rooms as well as bullets are different each run, which is good for replayability. seems fun! stay serious!
I liked it, the unique bullets add a lot to the game and spinning around on the chair is very fun, I just have some suggestions: the character is a bit too slow which makes it hard to dodge the projectiles and for me it feels a bit counter intuitive that the dash follows the mouse intead of the moving keys. Also when I died to Greg and restarted the level he stayed alive and I found him in a room and then found a second one in the final room. Overall it is a great game it is just missing some polishing which is completely fine for a game jam! good job
Fun concept. The gunslinger theme in a workspace reminds me of the paintball episode from Community, which is awesome.
Game could have benefitted from some background music, and (personally) I would've slightly increased the movement speed of all characters to make it feel a bit more fluid, but that's just my preference. Also the dodging felt like it should have followed the keyboard and not the mouse.
Still, fun game overall. I could see it going on a store page if polished.
Overall: Very cool concept and seriousness factor by running around on a spinning chair. The gameplay felt very satisfying overall with reloading and clearing each floor of the office :)
Might improve: I was attacked and lost lives during the very pretty upgrade spin animation, and the game was very very loud
PS: Not Greg from Accounting !!! He's my favourite aaaa
