thank you for sharing this truly epic creature. this game is so cute, both visually and conceptually! i love how everything is rendered, the paper mario stylization really adds to the vibes of the game. the way that everything bounces and reacts too just makes everything feel so alive and active, its really cool to see! its also very nice to include additional ways of spinning the dog to help with accessibility. loved this to bits, congrats on the submission!

Glad to hear you like it! Thank you!
I didn't know Paper Mario and yes, it's similar and actually a very good reference.
We discovered that accessibility would be a very important point from the moment we started playtests and tried to play with many different controllers.
We wanted everyone to spin freely and as comfortably as possible!!!
Really beautiful art, and the game is so much fun! I loved it and I'm absolutely sure it's going to make it into the top. Keep up the amazing work, this is seriously so cool! 🚀✨
Great game! How many endings are there? I was only able to find C and D. I love the artstyle!
There is also the ending A and B, listen the music
I AM FREEEEEE!!!
Seriously cute game with a seriously important message. 10/10, wish there was more.
This is simply beautiful and very enjoyable 20/10 and god.
society holds me back no longer.
Be free of its chains, my friend.
Loved the vibes and the mechanics, and really thought you nailed it. Only point was the mouse spinning mechanic was a little inconsistent, cutting out at times. But that did not stop my enjoyment and thoroughly enjoyed this. Keep creating!
It was one of my greatest pain point, I spent 1 afternoon and 1 evening to make the spinning detection works. According to my test, you need to have a peripheral precise enough and to be constant enough and this is not something simple.
Plus the detection shouldn't be too sensitive or else spinning will always trigger (especially with the left joystick as it is the same code for both mouse and joysticks)
Thank you so much to have enjoyed our game despite the issue !
It's funny how something that sounds so simple can be really nuanced and tricky. It's really nice that you included a separate button for it too, makes it more accessible and that's always awesome! (plus I could use it if I thought the mouse spinning was being too finicky which helps)
One of the most beautiful games of the jam that I’ve played so far, and the dog is so cute. The music and sound design are really nice too.
The thumbnail immediately caught my eye, the art style is so adorable and unique, this is genuinely my favorite game from the jam.
Adorable character and very fun!
For freedom!
Very sweet! Love the Paper Mario artstyle. I can actually see that I become more rebellious the longer I go. Sometimes, I had the problem that the normal background music and the spinning music started overlapping
I agree, I believe that the best option should be to synchronize the spinning sound on the beat of the background music. But I don't know how to do that in Godot
Thank you so much for your comment !
Absolutely love the art, the mixing on the audio could use some work, the spinning music and the bg music often mix together and make it a bit overwhelming audio-wise
Yes, I'm not experienced at all in the audio integration. I don't know exactly the best way to do that but I believe it's to synchronize the spinning music on the beat of the background music
Thx so much
I love the art style and the multiple endings.
Very adorable art style! Besides the main mechanic of the mouse spinning to dirty up the doggo, it wasn't really obvious at first glance thematically so I almost questioned if this was related to the game jam. As simple as the instructions were on that screen too, I think a timer on it is a bit unnecessary as I felt like that screen went away too fast before I could register what was going on. The stealth mechanic was well done and I got one dirty doggo with ending C. Great work!
The timer is a leftover as initially we couldn't skip the instruction (also it was initially the screen "how to play" that was shown instead, but we found that the quantity of text was a bit overwhelming and repulsive, so we replaced it with the current screen that echoes the seriousness)
Thank you for playing our game
Very cute, simple but fun!
Wouaf wouaf fait le chien
c'est bien vrai
Nice art and gameplay!
Really awesome art style. Love the detail of the bushes rustling as you run through them.
I think the game could have benefited from an additional mechanic or two; I’d love to see more incentive to discover the other endings. Biggest gripe is probably that the instructions were small and hard to read on my screen with the font contrast, and they didn’t zoom with my browser to give me a better look.
Spinning the mouse is a creative mechanic, so I wish it was more reliable, maybe using the general movement rather than having to focus the mouse around the dog.
Nice job, I’d love to see what this team makes in the future.
For the additional mechanics, having a simple game that can be played with just one joystick is something that pleased us, especially when making a 3 minutes games for a jam.
You're right about readability, it 's something that we should be looking for in the future
About the mouse spinning, it's something that was pretty hard to implements. Using the general movement was something I thought of, but in order to know when we are making circles you have to make circle around a specific centre point. To make it work in the allocated time we chose to use the dog as our centre point.
Thank you so much for your comment !
