The first time I threw a tank and it kept shooting enemies as it flew gave me a great laugh. This is a pretty creative game, and it shows a good amount of effort was put into the sound. Everything has an appropriate and punchy sound effect! I had fun playing!
This game is a little difficult to get going with however, even reading the controls text file. Once I understood that you have to keep spinning your mouse in the green I was able to play, but there isn't much feedback for it before the spinning starts, or after while you charge up. I like the idea, but I'm not sure the mouse cursor circling the swing is the control choice I would have picked.
It looks like this may have been your first jam, so congrats! This is a great product for seven days by yourself! I look forward to seeing more from you.
a bit tricky, but pretty fun.
I enjoyed the game, although there were a few things that I found annoying. I wish the green area didn't have a hole in the middle as I kept accidentally touching that area and kept having to restart, which led me to die multiple times. The core gameplay was pretty fun, though it was hard to manage throwing yellow people to rebuild, tanks to shoot from afar, and grey people to attack straight on, all at the same time, as each time I played I either I'd focus on killing one at a time, or rebuilding for as long as I could. It did make for really fun gameplay, however. I wish that the game had an icon and toolbar so I could move and expand it, and I wish the controls were explained in the game instead of in a text file. Other than those, great game!
Thanks so much for the feedback :) Looking at it now I probably did make the spinning too unforgiving, and the lack of an in game tutorial or resizable window (and a web version) were things I wasn't happy with but felt like they'd take until past the deadline lol. I'll definitely take your criticisms into account should I continue this project, can't wait to try out your game.
This is great! Kind of hard to get it to spin right though.
