Charming game, beautiful pixel art and nice music. The electric damage sound effect I found to be a little loud and annoying, compared to the otherwise relaxing soundscape. The winning strategy is a little one-dimensional, but it was still fun to play and figure it out nonetheless!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! On hindsight, I should've reduced the decibels on the lightning, yeah.

Great idea connecting the spinning mechanic to a mill and to Don Quixote. Charming art style. It's fun to see the upgrades represented visually. Wish the game paused when reading through the upgrades but it did not lessen the experience too much. Nice game!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!!

Charming atmosphere and nice polish had a good time playing!

I wasn’t expecting that ending. This was such an immersive experience. It got me absolutely hooked. You managed to set the tone perfectly with the visuals and the sound design. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer.

Developer(+1)

Wow. Thank you so much for that, we truly appreciate it!

i love this game, it's so charming and creative!

I would have never expected a Don Quixote tower defense game for this jam lol, that is so creative and cool ! The game was so fun, I could've kept playing for longer probably. I was a little confused on my first playthrough but then I got it pretty quickly ! This is extremely impressive, the pixel art is so pretty and the game is funny while barely having any text ! I really loved this game :3

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!

wow, the vibe of this game was wonderfully enhanced by the music, i really felt like i was a part of this farm. very immersive. very beautiful and fun game as well, saw your devlog too, fun process! (:

Developer

Thank you so much for putting on such a great jam! I look forward to watching your next video!

The last days were tough, but it was worth it for that ending! It took me completely by surprise. x)

I wish there was an occasion to read the shop descriptions without time pressure. I bought upgrade a bit randomly because I didn’t have enough time to read tooltips. Sure thing, I also didn’t realize there were tooltip on hover at the start of the game, where I would have plenty of time to read them. :P But in a way it made the experience fun too, because each upgrade was surprising and rewarding to discover.

It’s a really creative take on the theme! And I love how the game use this settings in a lot of clever ways.

Developer

Definitely. I wanted to implement a pause button specifically for the shop, but something something time something. In any case, thank you so much for playing!

Incredible music. Absolute bop. Great ending too, excellent job overall!

Developer

So happy with our composer. He did an excellent job!

A don quixote reference in the big 26?! I can't believe it

This whole game is great! The art, and music come together beautifully and the gameplay is interesting yet simple to understand! Definetly one of my favorites so far! Good job guys!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!!

didnt understand it right away but when i got a hold of it, gameplay was great

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! There is a bit of a curve.

I loved it ! It's so funny to see games that used windmills too and in such different ways from each other !

Loved the visuals, sound effects, music obviously, loved the gameplay too, loved the whole game ! Kinda wished there was more to it actually !

I reaally love what you've done and I hope you can add on to this game to make it maybe a longer/endless experience ? Great job !

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!!

took me a minute to figure out how to play, but was really suprised to see a Don Quixote game here! I also really like the music and sound design.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!! Our composer knocked it out of the park. I wish I had done it more justice!

This game is so nice looking, the only slight let down was I just didn't understand how to play the game, nothing in game really tells you what to do, but I managed to beat it first attempt, the difficultly felt fine, the shop is a bit random, and the getting flour was completely random until like halfway through the game

Developer

Thank you for playing! The flour wasn't random, it was how many times you rotated. I should really put a tutorial in the jam page, I guess. XD

Submitted

Oh I knew that but it took SO long for me to realize. The tutorial in the jam page that is there is half decent, but most of the time players (especially in game jams) don't read the passage, so I like to try it first like that, and your game just doesn't have a tutorial in it

Developer

I'll be honest. That tutorial page did not exist before your original comment. Apparently, Kaz went in and made one like the ninja they are.

the art is absolutely lovely and i love the game's theme !! it is great running into another gamer couple game with windmills in this jam !!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and stopping by the stream! Had a ton of fun!!

I'm only passingly familiar with the novel but it was very fun to see it referenced. Had a really good time wish there were more levels. Art style was beautiful, loved seeing the other windmills burning in the distance maybe wish we could see them spinning.

Developer

We were 100% accurate to the novel, I swear. Kaz had actually done the artwork for the spinning windmills, but it wasn't implemented unfortunately. Thank you so much for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I thought most of the fun came from not really understanding what I was doing in the beginning at all but then realising how to keep beating my nemesis! I definitely think the shop icon could be a bit clearer though. and I was clicking on the windmill the entire time thinking that was the mechanic haha.

I was actually pretty sad when the game ended, this was fun and a nice take on the theme.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing, I'm trying to minimize the amount of text needed so feedback like this is very helpful!

Submitted(+2)

Super cool game! It kind of reminds me of Plants vs Zombies when you need to collect sun but also manage the zombies. It took me a little bit to figure out what exactly was happening but it was fun. I don't think I got to try all of the upgrades but I like the ones that I did get and I really liked the special attack.

Developer

That's an interesting comparison! I haven't played that game before, but I've seen some footage and I can definitely see the parellels. Thanks for playing!

Just played a game beforehand that wrecked my arm, this one was a nice difference, I didn’t realise you can get upgrades after defeating the 2nd knight. Everything was perfect, and the challenge of the knight kept me on my toes, constantly checking the upgrade menu and repairing it when it was halfway.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing!!

Very beautiful pixel art. I didn't notice the buy menu in the top right until my second run and after I did I had trouble keeping it open to buy stuff. Once I started buying stuff the game loop was a lot of fun!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yeah, the menu was giving me some difficulty with hitbox detecting. I think keeping it static in the future would be better than actually animating the entire node.
