I have such goosebumps after playing this! The ambient noises, footsteps, and flashlight lighting made this impressively spooky! I also thought the puzzles with the time changes and one-way locked doors were pretty clever. Fun game!
Sorry for the late response, but this makes me so happy to hear! This is only my third game and I've never tried making something like this so I was really worried about how the puzzles and horror would turn out.
love the art great game!
Yay!
While the controls were a bit strange at first, I got used to it very quickly. The atmosphere is great. The exploration reminds me of Silent Hill, which is a compliment. However, I kind of felt like an old man while squinting at the screen trying to make out what I was looking at because the game was so dark.
Thanks, sorry about the brightness, I have trouble telling how bright or loud my games are while making them and ran out of time to make a brightness setting. It's nice to near that the other aspects were good though, I was heavily inspired by games like silent hill and resident evil.
Exploration felt a bit confusing, as many doors were locked. Controls felt stiff, but I think they really added to the creepy vibe, plus the artstyle and sound design are great and helped set the tone of the game.
Thanks, I wish I had more time to add more unlocked doors. Nice to hear that the style works well, I didn't make a lot of active decisions art-wise and I'm glad to hear it worked.
Interesting idea, but the exploration was frustrating. Tons and tons of locked doors with few options of where to go. Also the controls felt strange because I couldn't really turn while walking. Creepy vibe though!
The opening area was meant to serve as a tutorial to understand the gameplay, I was gonna make later parts more open but I ran out of time, so I see why I could be frustrating. Thanks for the feedback
