Really fun idea implemented well! I loved throwing the ingredients around and the sound effects are great! Whoosh whoosh!

I loved how you can get crafty with this game. Also, when I started it out I immediately wondered if you can grab the eyes of the monster and to my surprise you can! Such a cool feature!!! Love the out-of-the-box stuff you can try in mixing the colors! And the sound effects are fire.
Incredibly clever interpretation of the theme, y'all got! Would've not thought about stirring liquids and mixtures as a spin to win. Def see the connection. Will say, going in with no context of controls/purpose was a little difficult. I didn't really understand how to make the brew, how to turn it in, or even that spinning backwards undid your brew and vice versa. I think a lil' in-game tutorial or pop-up message would help out a lot. Had to keep going back into the itch page for instructions. Either way, fun lil' game y'all got!
At first I kept adding 1 spider and then giving it for like 10 times xdd
I thought you kept adding to the same pot instead of it resetting each spin.
The bottle can get stuck in the brew I had to restart because of that.
Is this guy supposed to respawn the eyes? I can't continue.
gotta go for now I'll try the rest later!
EDIT:
I tried a few times but couldn't figure it out, I had to play the previous 2 potions to even try again since they don't respawn :(
I can't say if it's fun or not idea wise since I had so many technical issues.
Thanks for trying our game!
Try stirring counter-clockwise, you can then remove ingredients from the pot to backtrack or fully reset the pot. The other ingredients spawn infinitely, but due to some issues I was having I had to limit the eyes to 10 for this deadline. Feel free to chuck things on the ground, it won't count towards the limit :)
I love it. It took me a while to really figure out how the stirring mechanic worked but when i did it was really satisfying and fun. The moment i realized I could pluck the little guys eyeballs for my potion and the sound he makes lol fantastic.
I like the gameplay loop idea and theme usage, but unfortunately, the game has it's problems. Mainly with the sprites rendering and ordering, physics and readability (lack of graphics consistency). The sounds are fun, but it could use some background music. Would be great to have an in-game tutorial or anything hinting at what the actual game is about and how to properly play it without just trial and error. Anyway, congrats on finishing the jam!
Thanks so much for giving it a go!
Art and sound is our weakest link and we know it! With more time we would definitely plan a more consistent art style. The physics was super hard to get right. It's still not right of course, but I'm fairly happy with where it ended up. When objects are in the pot, the physics are actually simulated off screen in 3D, and then translated back into 2D.
I struggled a lot with the sorting order because there's a lot of masks involved. I found it very difficult to get z-sorting in combination with the various masks. (Each eye has 1, each item in the pot has 1, etc) Again with more time I think I could figure it out.
First jam and, no surprise, time was the trickiest part to manage. A lot of learning and a lot of fun though. Thanks again for playing :)
