Beautiful visuals! Super challenging, too. Great job on this!

The concept is a interesting twist on the classic Ballance game where you can rotate the map, but I really couldn't finish the game now (rage quitted on level 3)...(ꐦ · ₋ · )
- There is no button hints in-game, it took me a while to realize there's a Ballance mode.
- The control feels really good when you are in the Ballance mode, but the opposite when you are in map mode. This is because the map rotation is relative to the camera, but the camera is fixed and there is no way the move the camera without moving the map, this makes precise movements difficult to do.
- Switching between two control mode is very jarring as the time doesn't stop. Moreover the physics is still on when you simply wanna rotate and observe the map, so you can only rotate bit by bit to prevent it from dropping.
I'd suggest freeze the time during map rotation, and allow for mouse camera control too (like the Ballance mode), to make the experience more playable and enjoyable.
Update: with some determination I managed to 100% the game!!!

I really liked the level designs, particularly the snake level 6, once you get the idea and angle it naturally flows into the end. I still believe the map rotation control can be improved though, in level 5 the ball is often blocked by the map.
Very cool concept. I really like that you can control the rotation of the level and the spin of the ball independently. It leads to some really interesting puzzles. The only issue I had was that rotating the level precisely can be a bit difficult. Overall, great job!
You went for the Juniper Jam too? Impressive work, I love the 3d levels, and the aesthetics are stunning. Music sounds quite mystical and fits your overall game...
I was like this game is really really hard. Then I realized I could play as the marble and that made life so much easier. It really played like Ballance, and that was my childhood game. Even the vibe reminded me of it, but controlling the level itself was an unique twist. Still really difficult, but I had fun.
This looks stunning and the puzzles are pretty creative and challenging (or maybe I'm just bad). Anyway good game!
i had alot of fun with this creative puzzle game, the theme take was pretty cool! this could use a bit more polish and it would be a really cool one, now tbf i had to play in 5-10 frames cuz for some reason the game was lagging alot in the webgl version :') also sometimes i feel that i can just go ahead and just finish the levels with only the ball without rotating the world sometimes, but other than that it was a pretty cool game, and good job on submitting it too :)
The idea to spin the world OR the ball is very cool! I beat 5 levels but my favourite one was 3rd one. Perfect balance between rotating the world and rotating the ball. 6th lvl is heellish XD Music is VERY serious and it fits very well with the game genre as so the art. I don't know why but while controlling the ball I found myself lagging a bit grom time to time? Other than that I loved the game and i fought I wouldn't like it as much cause i don't really like the genre. Thinking about the strategy of when should I rotate the world and when to rotate the ball was to thing that got me playing and trying again untill i 3 starred 5 levels.
Thanks so much for playing! Love that level 3 was your favorite, that balance is exactly the sweet spot we were going for. And yeah... level 6 is meant to be hellish. 😄
About the lag, that's a general web-build issue, you wouldn't run into it on the proper exe build. And it means a lot that the game won you over even though the genre isn't usually your thing, that "world or ball?" strategy loop is exactly the hook we hoped for. Congrats on 3-starring 5 levels!
I enjoyed this! I thought the ability to rotate the world AND the marble was super creative, and the audio and visuals are great! I can't tell if maybe it's a little hard, or if I just suck at it though 😅
Thanks so much for playing it! The dual rotation was the mechanic we were most excited about, so it's great to hear it landed. :)
As for the difficulty... let's go with "it's a little hard" and leave it at that. 😄 You're definitely not alone there, and level 6 is only for the true challengers of Nyx!
I liked it, I'm really bad at these games though, I was only able to beat the first level lol. Unlike some people I read the instructions and right clicked to get some good visibility. My only gripe is it's not obvious where the camera is going to face once you zoom in, maybe a small indicator as to where the marbles camera is going to come in from would benefit that.
I was laughing at my ineptitude pretty much the entire time, sorry to say Nyx but you chose wrong and I am very unworthy
Haha, beating the first level still counts! And points for actually reading the instructions, you're already ahead of the curve there. :)
That's solid feedback on the camera, too. Not knowing where it'll swing in from when you zoom is a fair gripe, a small indicator showing the marble's incoming camera angle could definitely help. I'll pass it along to the team.
And don't worry, Nyx forgives the unworthy... eventually. Thanks for giving it a real shot! :D
This game has a few significant problems in my opinion. First the visibility just sucks for this game SO much, I don't understand why you decided to add fog when the player needs to be able to see the small marble. It also has the issue of the marble just being FAR too small to actually see well and understand even when zooming in. Also why did you remove my mouse cursor when it does almost nothing besides the single main menu it seems like, that was a design I REALLY disliked.
Hey, thanks for the feedback! Did you try the third-person view by holding right-click? It makes the marble a lot easier to track. :)
To get your cursor back, press "F" for the pause/main menu. We removed it in-game because you're orbiting the marble the whole time, so the cursor would just sit frozen in the middle of the screen.
The fog and marble size are intentional, they're part of the look and challenge we were going for.
