Very simple game with a fun mechanic! I got to like 47 spins, but damn, it's hard! cuz everytime I get enough money, more things appear, and I have to delete them or... gamble! Really cool! bummer it doesn't have a background music, but the sound effects and the visuals are really nice :D
i like how there was actually some strategy required to win and it made me think about my next move
It's so cool you made this in JavaScript. I do think the game is a little broken seeing that you can remove the negative sections easily
i like how polished your spinning wheel is compared to mine :)
I won! Took me 17 spins in the end (and more than a few tries
I like how clean and simple the UI is, as well as the small details like the animation on gaining money and the wheel spin when you restart the game. The balance is a bit tough - I wasn't able to come up with a good strategy aside from buying shields and praying. I saw that red regions get added/removed from the wheel after some spins, but I couldn't figure out why - is there a mechanism behind it?
I really like the currency animation you did! Also clean and minimalistic UI looks charming :D
Apparently I finished the game after spin 10, didn't have time to get into it, too short
Hi! I love spinning, so I sat with this one for quite a while(I swear i am not addicted). I really enjoyed it and think it's a great concept overall. But I have to ask: is it actually winnable if played perfectly, or is it an endless survival game? I always end up with too many negative parts and inevitably lose.
I did a little math on the expected value: If bad parts spawn automatically after a certain number of spins, you will get a negative return over time unless you delete them. Deleting one costs 75, but it's not quite worth the investment. To break even, I would need to land on that specific bad part at least 1.5 times (if it's a -50 part) or 3 times (if it's -25). The probability of landing on it that many times is low, especially when new bad parts spawn every 3 spins or less.
Also, using the x2 buff doesn't seem cost-effective. It lasts for 3 rounds and is very expensive. Even when I can afford both the buff and a +100 part, there are usually so many bad parts on the board already that the x2 buff ends up costing more than it yields.
The same goes for the shield. Because bad parts keep spawning, at some point, you will win less than once every 3 spins, so combining a shield with a spin yields a negative return. Even buying +50 parts for 50 coins eventually becomes negative in the long run, simply because the bad ones keep spawning and diluting the pool.
Was this an intentional design choice to make the game progressively harder, or just a balancing oversight? Either way, it's a really engaging project! I really hope you check out mine game, I also had some balance problems hahah...
Hey there! Thanks a lot for the feedback. I've actually had a lot of troubles with the balance during development. I've just updated the game, now the removal costs less, the amount of points required to win is decreased and some other small tweaks were made
pretty simple and neat, maybe having a goal to reach or getting a 1/100 spin to win would make it more interesting, love the sounds
thanks for the feedback! the goal is stated at the start of the game (1000 points). I will make it more noticeable
oh damn i completely missed it!
