It's a creative mechanic, but it was a little bit difficult for me to predict how the planet spinning was going to affect the trajectory. Apart from that, it's a creative use of the theme and the graphics are well done. Good job!

Developer

Yeah I've been told the game is hard, but I personally like that trajectories aren't easy to predict at first. Forces a bit of trial and error. Thanks for playing :))

Super nice game! Love the visuals

Developer

thank u :))

I was  a little confused on the mechanics of using the planet.. But hey once i got it I realized how much I like it. Good mechanic and fits very well into the spin to win theme!

Developer

Thanks for playing :))

got soft locked on first level

Developer

On the level with only the launch planet and the earth? Could you clarify so I can fix it?

Developer

If you meant level 2 (level with an orange/red planet in the middle), maybe try clicking and dragging the planet to spin it and then clicking and dragging the axis (yellow stick) to change the field size :))

All levels should be solvable in different ways, so if you really are soft locked please describe and I'll fix it ASAP! Thanks for trying :-))

A really creative game! Such a cool concept, using planet's gravity to find the perfect angle. I found the overall game to be very fun, although quite difficult, but I thought it was pretty well balanced (except I got stuck on Lvl 9 but maybe thats a skill issue from me). The whole vibe is really cool too, that whole spacey sci-fi stuff, really good!

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing :) If you got stuck on level 9, it's probably because you are a legend that tried bending around the planets and black hole. All my friends would just shoot really hard past the aliens and adjust the trajectory a tiny bit with the suitcase throw. I'm glad there are people out there playing the game creatively!

Very well made game! Here is my honest review:

Pros

  • Mechanics that remind me angry birds star wars :)
  • Nice space background music and SFX
  • Very nice interaction of gravitation and collision physics
  • Fun boss on last level

Cons

  • If you give medium shoot force it still flies too fast. So it's a bit difficult to pick right strength to shoot

My suggestions/improvements

  • Add text for level 2 and level 4 that hints what you need to do. I know that you can read it in description, but if you would continue working on this game, it would be really cool
  • Possible new mechanic: you can add buttons. Your main goal is to hit all of those buttons (1 or more buttons) in order to open a gate (or move away something from your way) that will allow you to get to the planet.

In overall I really liked your game. I hope you will continue to manage it further and release a full game. If you didn't understand something from what I have said, feel free to ask me.

Developer

Thanks a lot for this feedback! Many people are suggesting similar things, so I will do my best to update the game after the jam (probably). I'm really glad you enjoyed playing and I like the button suggestion :)

The trajectory stuff was HARD. but great art direction, good game.

Great idea and design, but it's way harder than it should be. The trajectory can be unintuitive and most of the time I've ended up doing A LOT of trial and error. Still, very nice game jam entry. Congrats!

Developer

Yeah many people are saying it's a bit too hard. I might have gotten too used to the levels while creating/playing/testing. Still, thanks for playing :))

It is kinda hard but I like the design a lot!

Thank u :))

Very nice puzzle game, the shooting mechanic is a little wonky but overall a solid, polished game:D

Thanks a bunch :)

Really fun and creative game with a unique gravity mechanic! The level design, humor, and visuals were all enjoyable, and it was satisfying experimenting with different ways to solve each puzzle. My main feedback would be that the controls take some time to get used to, and the difficulty ramps up quite quickly.  Overall, great job, I had a lot of fun playing!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing :) Your feedback is quite similar to most people's, so I'll be sure to work on it after the jam.

The game was fun with some nice levels. I had fun using a few well timed money shots to complete most levels, but the gravity mechanic is a nice touch. I liked the spacing setting and visuals. may be easier to control if the cannon and money shot fired towards the mouse cursor, as this would make it easier to control, particularly for the last level ( i was playing on trackpad tho to be fair).

Developer

Playing on trackpad until the last level shows effort, so thank you! I'm glad you had fun :)

This was a really fun and creative puzzle game. The gravity/space mechanic is a cool take on the theme, and it was satisfying trying to fling myself around planets, dodge meteors, and find different ways to solve each level. I also liked the humour in the writing, it gave the game a lot of personality.

My main feedback is that the controls take a bit to get used to, and the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly. A clearer tutorial or a few more easy levels at the start would help a lot. The cannon/money shot mechanic could also feel a little more intuitive, maybe aiming toward the mouse. Overall though, this is a really unique idea with great level design and a lot of potential.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you had fun :)

im very bad at games like these but it was honestly kinda addicting to play XD was fun to just kinda fling the guy around lol

Thanks for playing :)

A fun gravity manipulation game that just needs a few tweeks here and there I think.

I enjoyed looking at the levels and trying to find ways around it by slipping past meteors or by using the money shot in precise ways to get me places that I shouldn't have. One suggestion I might make is to make the money shot go in the direction towards the mouse as it felt quite tough to use when you shot at high speeds. Other than that I had a blast :)

Developer

Glad you had a blast (just like the trillionaire lol)! Thanks for playing :)

Really liked the game, however the difficulty spike was too much for me lol

awesome art!

Developer(+1)

Yeah it's pretty hard. I got quite used to it during developing so I thought it was easier lol.

That was a very fun and unique puzzle game! I never thought I'd be launching myself through space like that and using the gravitational pull of planets to get back to Earth but it was very fun! I really enjoyed the complexity of some of the puzzles and I can see this game being expanded upon with more levels and mechanics. Great job!

Developer

Thank you very much :) I'm glad you enjoyed playing!

Very nice game with interesting mechanics

Developer

Thanks :)

pretty solid game and fun dialogue, tho the game could use a better tutorial and some improved controls. a pretty enjoyable experience nonetheless, great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I appreciate your feedback :)

I like your humor. The game was pretty fun, and you did a great job developing various levels. Great work!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed and thanks for playing :)
