whew, that was quite a journey! it's a relatively unforgiving but ultimately fun game with an inspiring story. the spike hitboxes are evil, they impale you just by looking at you, which takes some getting used to, but the infinite lives make it bearable. all in all, good job!
The game is pretty serious and I had fun playing it! The controls are a bit tricky sometimes and I find it hard to do some precision jumps.
I noticed one thing that I don't like and it's the timer on the top-right of the screen. You are already punished by dying a lot, and when you finally reach that checkpoint all your progress is lost again if you run out of time. I don't think it adds anything to the game.
Also, spinning gives you points but I actually don't use it because a) you don't need so many points to complete a level and b) being fast means you are more likely to run into spikes or fall off platforms.
Pretty fun idea but the hitboxes of the spikes were EXTREMELY unforgiving, normally you'd want them to be smaller than the spike itself in this case they were bigger
Saw the immediate potential to firing off all shots at once to propel myself at mach 2, and was satisfied. I think the air control is a little too slippery, though. Kept having moments where I'd collide into spikes against my will because of the conservation of momentum from falling. That, and the last level(?) the lightning is incredibly difficult to see against the bright pink background. Overall, solid platformer stuff with lots of potential!
