Weather Mechanic Idea

This is a mechanic idea I had to help break up the monotony in traveling outside and to make you plan a bit more when exploring in the open. As the only difference is when it turns night, so I wanted to add a twist for when it's daytime. Depending on what the weather is like outside will change how fights can work and you can possibly encounter new enemies or ones in different places. The weather will also have positives and negatives when in combat so it will be important to plan how to work around them.

Bright Sunlight: The sun is shining brightly making it hot outside. The heat increases the damage of fire-based attacks and weakens ice-based attacks. You will encounter a new scaly enemy or more of them as they enjoy the heat outside. But the downside is that you will gradually grow thirsty over time.

Foggy: It's harder to see anything, and in a fight you and enemies will have a harder time hitting things at a distance. It can also reduce the effectiveness of visual based seductions, like Trash Panda spreading her butt. You can also add some monster like enemies that love to hide in the fog.

Raining: The rain makes the ground wet making it so that if you try to flee or charge in at a great distance, then there is a chance that you will slip, making you either waste a turn or make yourself vulnerable. You have an easier time breaking free from a grab. Fire-based attacks are weakened but boosts the power of electric-based attacks. The moisture from the rain also brings the frog enemies to the surface.

Storming: Similar to the rain but it's dark outside, so you can encounter the enemies that prefer the dark or only come out at night. And maybe add a chance for you or the enemy to get hit with lightning.

Windy: Your scent is carried on the wind, attracting more enemies to your position.

These are just some of my ideas that I had. If they are too complicated to implement then that's fine, I just wanted to share this idea. Before I end this, I'd like to say I love the game, and I can't wait to see more.

This is a cool idea, and well-thought-out too. Appreciate the suggestion!
My current plan is to have weather tied to specific areas of the map, and won't be making it dynamic for this game, sorry! I have to consider just how much complexity I add, when my goal is for the game to have a significant amount of content.
Maybe for my next game, though!

Maybe in areas with common rain the player can get some degree of renewable rainwater, albeit incredibly slowly. There would probably need to be a substantial upfront cost and such rain collection process likely wouldn't be very efficient unless the player invests a lot of time and effort into it.

I'd love to see fog and storms integrated into the game in some way, even if its only for a set area/scripted event.

Edit:
Perhaps there could be a cold & snowy area where you might become really cold when a unit of time passes, especially at night, if only there was somebody soft and warm there you could snuggle with ;3c
