Yo man! I saw you when you where posting progress beating the shit out of the moon, the game ended up great and it feels as good as it looked.
Fun experience. It’s cozy and basically holding down the arrow but it’s a relaxing experience. At the end of a very tiring day if feels good.
The only thing I’d like to say is I don’t know how many “lives” I have, which would be helpful, even though I’m not sure I can do much to prevent losing them.
Nice visuals and some cool bullet hell mechanics that make the game feel fun and fresh each time a new planet is introduced. Some reaction from you hitting a planet might have been needed to be clearer and health should probably have been given more priority in the UI, as even though I saw it, I could easily see someone missing something so small and being confused on when and how they died. Other than that though this is some solid work, good job!
Really like the art style, cool to see two characters/game modes. Mostly feel like this game is missing more of a UI or feedback in terms of HP, and a little more sound. Also liked the Jupiter Dev.
The visuals and planets are very dope, good work!
Beautiful graphics and cool game mechanics!
I really enjoyed the momentum-based controls! That said, the objective of the game, as well as critical information like HP, could’ve been communicated a lot more clearly.
I REALLY love the mechanic of this game, its a bit difficult to understand what its the goal of the game and the position of my health but good job!
The game was really fun, and the music was nice. It was hard to tell where my health was when I started playing, but i later realised it was the tiny dots surrounding the earth, I think it would have been nice if that was clearer. Nice game
This game is awesome. The music sounds like it came from Jet Set Radio or Lethal League, and I find that type of music so damn good. The art is also great. The gameplay of slamming planets around and into other planets is super fun! The only gripe is that it feels like the game freezes a lot, maybe it's the impact effect when there isn't a visible impact? Unsure, but besides that, it's great!
Really interesting concept! Reminds me a lot of Lethal League. I think the sound effects were mixed a little too quietly, I could occasionally hear them a little bit but they seemed buried by the music the majority of the time. It could also be cool to consider how to encourage the player to not just hold down one arrow key the whole time. Right now there isn't really any incentive to be spinning one way vs the other, and you pretty much never want your moon to be sitting still as that leaves you vulnerable. As JW from Vlambeer once said, (paraphrasing) if something is tied to a button press but there's no reason not to press the button, you may as well just take the button press out of the equation and make it a constant effect. Other than all that though, I really enjoyed this. The art was great, and the particle effects and hitstop were really satisfying. Great job!
Was confused at first by the objective of the game. Wish it was easier to tell how much HP you had left and how many more hits you needed on each planet. Really dug the visuals and music
i really liked your arts, Helios is my fav. the IMPACT EFFeCT is pretty IMPACTANT, good job, btw, tcheck my game too, if you like IMPACT, you'll like
I LOVED THIS ENTRY! It's just oozing with potential. The game play is fun and unique (reminds me a bit of lethal league). The art is engaging and the music is catchy! I am in love with the character designs and general aesthetic!
A bit more in the polish and game feel department and I think you have a really solid game on your hands. Notably, even with the hit fx, the hitstop is too harsh/long imo, the game feels like it freezes. Louder sound effects and subtle screen shake/white flashes might help.
Regarding game play, spinning the moon left and right could be bound to the mouse keys. And maybe consider giving the moon a hitbox all the time? It won't be as effective as spinning it, but there are times where I wish it had one.
I love that the way you destroy planets is ironically making them faster and more dangerous! Agree with the other commenter that spinning the moon is tedious; I’d like to see an incentive to maybe use it stationary, defensively? The sound effects are cool though IMO too quiet. The art is gorgeous and the high point of the experience. I liked it, good job!
art style - amazing! Cool concept, solid jam entry
Really fun game, the controls took me like a few minutes to figure out, shouldve use mouse left/right or Q/E to spin the moon
Anyways the mechanic is really cool and fits well with the theme
ALso noticed the cute lil hat on jupiter, lol
alright, it's done
Fun!
Great potential, hope you bring it to a whole experience!
