This game deserves a lot more ratings because the amount of effort here is ridiculous. I am amazed this was done in the jam period because there is a LOT going on here. Admittedly I didn't really know what most of my upgrades did because the information given to the player is pretty dense and I was expecting the simpler mechanics most of the other jam games had, but I can recognize a ton of work went into this and I had fun and eventually won the game. There's mention of scores on the main menu but I'm not sure where mine are. Love the in depth game systems and the art!
Thanks for playing, I really appreciate the recognition of effort and feedback!
The scores show up as you complete endless runs (you can still go in and try it, the game save all progress). It should show up to the top 5 longest runs and the loadout you used.
I really enjoyed it, very entertaining.
My only feedback would be to maybe make the guide/instructions a little easier to read. They're fantastic as art, but kind of hurt my eyes when I try to read them...
That is a real fun game.
Some notes:- There is a huge information dump on the player from the start. As there is no tutorial, you need to check User Manual, which it does what is supposed to do, but that shouldn't been the way to learn about the game. Would have been better if the player is fed the information bit by bit as he plays in some kind of tutorial
- The shop really needs tooltips
But the gameplay itself is really satisfying. Sad that because of the size/performance you couldn't have uploaded a browser build, so now it flew under the radar.
I absolutely loved this! Lots of style, and the gameplay itself felt like a great new take on a pinball machine! The visuals and audio added a lot to the experience, I especially loved how they signified how close you are to fully charging up. I honestly don't have many critiques to give, the only thing that bothered me a bit is the clarity of the UI in the shop, but it wasn't bad enough that I didn't understand anything, and it was part of the style, so I don't know if I would want it changed. Overall, you did an amazing job!
Genuinely super fresh and fun! loved all the art and everything about it! Really good take on a survivors-like mashed with an incremental game!
