All notes I made in order while playing:
- nice pixel assets
- proper spinning integral part of gameplay, very good
- some simple BG music would be nice
- that sure is a lot of empty space in the building^^
- the wheel spin feels useless? inconsequential? Peeps just vanish, no text, no nothing afterwards
- the quit button just broke the game xD
Lovely start for something far greater with more time imo :3
Nice Game!
That office sure is big. Hope there's more employees on the way.
I'm missing some sounds but it's always a fun concept to parody HR in any context
I had to check my email for the goblin shareholders of course. It felt great telling Carl to go stand in the corner, lmao. Spinning the wheel felt nice and the pixel art is great! I'm sure you'll get to some great animations eventually too. I wish I got to see the punishments per employee vs. them just being sent away, but I know that's a lot more to draw! Some office ambience would've help make the environment more lively. One thing about level design I think is to try to limit your space as much as you can, make sure each corner / space has a purpose vs big empty rooms. Great job submitting to your first jam!
Glad you enjoyed it! And yeah, I did want to add some more animations and sound design but ran out of time. It's on my backlog though! Thanks for pointing out the level design as well, I was so caught up in making the mechanics work that I forgot to remove all the extra space and add wall collisions so the player can't walk into endless gray forever.
Upon beholding this game, thou didst kench right wondrously. Goblins are wont to be jollux and grody wights, yet these were free of all facinorous intent; wherefore, thy heart did leap with exceeding gladness. Verily, I could bide within this pastime for an entire fortnight!
Amazing game, and hilarious! Audio leaves something to be desired, and a few bugs, but that's to be expected, considering you had a week! All in all, I've seen much worse (like my own project... sad times). Good work!
Very cute game and hilarious concept!
It was cute little game
it is a fun little game with cute sprites
I really love the art style, the idea is fun, it's short but i enjoyed it, keep up the good work!
Cute game. It's very rough around the edges (sprites sometimes overlapping in weird ways, you can just walk out of the level, etc) but the idea of randomly assigning punishments or rewards to employees got a laugh out of me. It's not too far off what corporate management feels like :D Great job on releasing your first game!
Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to add a lot more to it and fix a few of those bugs, but ran out of time. Scope creep is REAL. I didn't even think of walking out of the level, so thanks for pointing that out, will fix in future releases. :)
cool idea
and nice art. tho it would have been even better animated
some office ambient sounds would have been great here as well
some more content. like an office pizza party after winning millions in gob stocks
also Grog did nothing wrong

Goblins!!!
I liked the art and I think the idea of spinning a wheel to decide the employees punishment was really funny, as others said it was quite short and I think some more audio, both ambient, music, and reaction sounds would go a long way
Nice game, though I think there was some parts where the main character would be under the desk when I went to go do the performance review. Otherwise, congrats on your first game, the idea is pretty interesting, and I like the wheel spin to decide the Goblin's fate.
I noticed that too. I wanted to fix those bugs but ran out of time. It's on my backlog to fix though! Thank you!
For first game it is good, but it is short and you can do much just talk to employees an walk around
Congrats to your first game! The intended gameplay works pretty well :) The main mechanic got some spinning, but i would love to have opportunities to change the wheel result. So maybe upgrades or something like that? The topic is funny, core mechanic needs some refinement :)
Thank you! It feels good to release something. I wanted to implement some sort of nudge system to be able to change the result, but had to cut due to timing. I didn’t think of an upgrade system though! Thanks for the ideas!
Fun little game, I think if the goblins were sat on office chairs and could spin around that would embrace the theme a bit more
Ooh thats a good idea! Appreciate the feedback!
