Fantastic game! I like the visuals of the background and the controls feel nice as well. The balance between healing and putting your energy towards the cog time is a nice mechanic. It would be cool to see the cogs in the background moving as well in addition to the big cog in the center.
THIS IS THE MOST LOCKED IN I HAVE EVER BEEN IN THIS GAME JAM!!! MY HIGH SCORE IS 280! SUPER FUN GAME!!!
I enjoyed the gameplay loop, and the design of having to balance using energy to keep the cog spinning vs healing health. I feel that adding damage given/taken VFX would help a lot. Also, it would've been nice to mention vertical wall-jumping somewhere as it took me a while to realize it was a mechanic. I really liked the art and music, solid game overall!
Nice entry! I like the cog-themed visuals and the ticking sound in the music; they fit the spin theme well. The platforming feels smooth too.
I liked the game! It’s very polished and has interesting mechanics. It would be cool if there was a way to strike/attack downwards.
Congratulations on the project, especially given the short amount of time!
The combat system is good & gameplay is fun. I like the graphics, It reminds me of the Flash game era! 🙂✨
Pretty cool game! I like how smooth the platforming part feels!
Was stuck at the bottom for most of the game until I realized I could triple jump. Recommend putting that info in the controls section. Liked the force field effect on movement. Good job!
OHH YEAH - I completely forgot about that When I was making the tutorial tab, I made it like on the last day and Triple Jump was like kinda obvious to me cuz I did it so much lol. Thx for the feedback!
im usually pretty bad on platformers, but this was quite nice to get the hang on. Nice work!
It's a solid entry, I enjoyed my time with it, and I believe it can go a long way with some improvements.
My suggestions:
- Add flash effects/screenshakes or any other kind of feedback when the player damages the enemy.
- The spin charge move could have been added later as the controls can be a bit difficult to understand initially.
- The player movement controller can be improved a bit.
Very nice! Took me a while to understand but overall great work!
Really enjoyed playing this game! Took me a while to memorize the key binds, so a popup during the game would be nice, but I'm also bad at memorization, and I got it eventually. Really enjoyed fighting and choosing between saving myself or the wheel. Would've liked more game juice when killing something or adding to your time or health, but besides that, great game!
ooh, looks nice!
Great concept and pretty challenging!
The main thing I think the game needs is a clear indication for the damage the player takes. They only way to know you're hurt is looking at the gauge, and adding a sound or visual effect would be a good addition.
Overall good work with this
I wanted to add like a white flash effect when getting hit for both players and enemies, but I didn’t rly have time for that…. Thx for the feedback!
Feels good to play!
It’s fantastic! I really like how the character stops when attacking—it makes it easier to hit enemies and also serves as a brake. The ticking sound in the music is great; it really conveys the feeling of gears turning. I also like the character design!
pretty cool concept, i liked the game.
GREAT GAME!!! I LOVED THE MUSIC AND THE BEUTIFUL FONT OF THIS GAME!
Really liked the background cog art and that audio of what sounds like cogs ticking, fantastic, it really improves the whole experience. Would be nice if your character was also some kind of cog, you can never have enough cogs....
