Very cute art, and the music isn't bad too! I don't usually play platformers so unfortunately I kept falling off the first platform and in between the 2 buttons, which had me stuck and have to force quit. I would've preferred if the jump wasn't delayed, and maybe there should've been a way to jump over the buttons' force fields, but I also can't blame the game for what is surely a lack of skill on my part haha
THANKS for trying out our game. i can tell you its not a lack of skill on your part. we couldnt manage to refine the gameplay as we wanted it to be. it was initially planned to have a charge jump , the longer you charge the higher you go. but we dropped it but forgot to adjust the jump . Honestly i felt that the gameplay wasnt clicking, but i didnt know why. its just now i realize the jump is delayed on the release. thank you for the feedback
Its a fine game, but I think it needs a checkpoint system. Jumping upon releasing the keyboard instead of when I press it is really awkward, I know from another comment you were going to add a charge, but didn't. You should've really changed the jump in that case as itjust ends up wakward
How am I spinning to win? I guess the planets spin when you run around them, but its not very... prevalent.
The visuals are cute if not pixelated, although I don't think thats your fault. I liked the cat character
The audios fine
THANKS FOR PLAYING. yeah we just forgot to change the jump. i dont even know how its possible. but i felt something was off but couldnt put the finger on it. its just now i realize the jump is delayed on the release
I enjoyed this game and found the themes and visuals very cute, also the music was excellent!!
Unfortunately most of the game seemed to have some performance issues, at least for my computer.. Some sections were 60fps, but most rand around 9fps and were hard to control.
just for specifics-
planet 1: 60fps, but had stuttering that got worse over time
space: low fps
planet 2: low fps
planet3: 60fps
I finished the first to planets and flew to a third with nothing but a coconut on it but ran out of fuel after that hehe
Thank you very much for trying out the game. im glad you appreciate it. I think the performance issue is mostly my fault, it was my first time doing art for a game, i didnt know how to make pixel art. So i just ended up making full fledged illustrations, and it seems that it ended up being too heavy for the game.
What are you meant to do after reaching the planet with the volcano and the watermelon/cabbage thing?
Anyways, I liked the game, although I didn't like not knowing which direction to go on the planet and being forced to run around the entire thing! Also, I didn't realize there was a sprint button so I was stuck for like, the first 5 minutes as there is no way to make first jump without it
Overall, very cute and silly game :3
Than youuu for playing. The game was supposed to end there, cause the cat woul find a new home and stuff but we didnt really add time to work it out. im adding the sprint key to the controls in the game description thank you for the feedback
Game was fun after learning there's a sprint. I think you should add that to the controls part of your page.
Love the Art!
thank you, yes we forgot about that, im adding it
Nice art! I like being able to actually fly the ship to the next planet, it breaks up the pace of the gameplay nicely. I found it a little awkward that you jump when you release space instead of when you press it--at first I thought it was just really delayed.
Sorry about that! The hold and release function was actually meant to turn into a charge system, where the longer you hold the spacebar, the higher you jump. Though we didn't keep it in towards the end. We'll keep it in mind. Thank you for your feedback!
Np, enjoyed the game! Happy to provide feedback :)
