I'd recommend adding some information on the controls! For jams, it doesn't need to be in the game, it can be in the page's description if necessary. I think there's the arrow keys, but also the space bar seems to control the enemy? I found that a bit confusing.

Each art asset is quite nice on its own, but put together I feel like they clash a bit, though, to be honest this is something that I struggle with myself and I imagine it's even harder when there's more people.

That space bar thing was a testing feature we forgot to remove I think

I think you have the start of something good here, but it definitely needs to give the player some more feedback. From what I could tell spinning charged up your ability to use the heal and attack. I saw that I lost some spin and healed when I picked heal, but with attack I wasn't sure sure anything was happening at all.

I think the puppet boss is cute and music is nice but every time you picked an option in the fight the music would restart from the beginning.

Finally, I like the ideas for the attacks but the sword hitbox seems a little big for its sprite which resulted in hits that felt a little unfair.

With some polish this could definitely be a pretty fun little battle!

Hi! Thank you for playing the game and for your feedback. I agree, it's annoying that the music restarts each time. I wasn't able to fix that before the deadline

The fighting is really original in my opinion and it's actually interesting. A bit unsure if the attack or spin did anything because there was no indication it might've worked. At least none that I noticed. Some visual cues on what's happening will add a lot to the game feel. Maybe lean even more into the carnival theme if you plan to continue working on this. Overall, great job!

Idea is cool. I came to check this project out because I know one of the guys working on this btw

Music is a bit weird it doesnt really fit the 8-bit style but its pretty good (personal opinion)

I have the same issue with Fable Dev not knowing if I'm progressing the game or not, UI and indicators can use some work

The only issue I have with gameplay is the spinning blade thing (the one where you have to slip through the cracks to get by), the difficulty of that is way too hard, mainly because sometimes it'll spawn two and leaving no room for the player to get into the cracks in time.

The falling blades are cool that one I got no issues with.

Fireballs are a bit too easy but thats personal opinion

great game, just needs a lot of polishing, good luck with the game jam!

Thanks for the feedback!

Bro, you've definitely got a good game here. But I didn't like the design of the arena or the sabers. Also, I couldn't figure out how to tell if I'd won or not. And one last thing: the UI could use some work.

There's something that says thanks for playing if you win.

Thanks for the tips though
