WOW. I honestly don't anticipate anything in this jam beating this level of polish. UI is such a weak spot of mine, I actually felt like I "lucked" out when my Options menu broke because I didn't have to worry about completing a UI in the last few hours of the jam.
You have NAILED UI. The game is stunning and beautiful, the sound effects paired really well, overall a great visually appealing a game.
Then that's paired with an enjoyable game loop! We're having so much fun trying to propose and succeed, we're not going to have any time to check out other submissions.
Beyond that, I can't help but giggle . . . looks like we both had similar plot ideas!!! LOL. Very cute, very fun, and very well polished for a 7 day jam. IMMACULATE.
Thank you for playing! I ended up going all in on UI since I didn’t want to draw a lot haha. Thank you for all the praise! I’m happy there was another group that saw the theme + serious combo and came to the workplace romance conclusion!
I'm genuinely impressed with this game. It's complete, polished, interesting and entertaining! I loved the menus, visuals, sound design, use of the theme... Amazing job overall, congratulations!!
Thank you for the praise! Thank you for playing!
What an interesting story :D
The game overall felt well polished and designed. Really good work on the overall art style :)
Thank you for playing!
Very fun strategy game with an amazing UI and art direction, I seriously dig it!!! The mechanics are balanced but still pose a challenge when playing, but I felt like some more explanation could have been useful at the beginning of the game as I was a bit lost. I like the extensive rock paper scissors tree of winning and losing, but I'm bad at this kind of deep strategizing so I couldn't beat the game, but it was still a very fun experience that I enjoyed! Spectacular stuff :D
Thank you for the praise! Sorry for the lack of explanations! Thank you for playing!
Wow the game is really polished! All the UI, story and sound design stuff was on point! Though I think it was a bit overwhelming at first as there were soo many options to look through when building your report. Once I got the hang of it though, it was really fun! Awesome job!
Sorry for the poor on boarding. Thank you for playing!
Lol... I have to feed my cat... XD
You earn 30 dollars from a workplace dispute
I see what you did there.
In terms of spin to win, nailed. A couple of comments though. It cam be repetitive after the first play through, same for music and spinning, had abit of fatigue there because of a lack of variety in the proposal game or rock, paper, scissors, lizard spork.
I do appreciate the dark humour that with a director, u get no respin.
There was also another VN similar to this, but it didn't quite go this direction, I suspect u and them had a dispute and splintered teams.
But I have to say this, I would have preferred abit more story to stay truer to the VN, cause the theme is spin to win, but the soul of the game is a Visual Novel.
Can you link the game you're talking about?I came to this idea independently and never considered working in a team for this jam.I looked through your post history and found this game: /jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4699967. I don't know the team behind it but I wish I did (they knocked it out of the park). I don't really do VN projects since my illustration and writing skills are quite basic though, but I'll keep it in mind for my next project if you think this one feels like a VN. Maybe it's my calling haha
i love the animations and sfx .. very polished game
Thank you for the praise and thank you for playing!
The spinning felt really intense for some reason, especially the 'best of 5' parts. There were so much affinity and abilities, took some times to learn stuffs. Really nice game, looks very polished.
Thank you for playing!
This was a really good, well polished experience! I think that it was really easy to game by just choosing the options that made you the most lucky, and I wish that we had access to some of the omega abilities that Yue had, but otherwise an incredible experience :3
Thank you for playing. Unfortunately, yea the game isn’t very balanced, but I feel making an OP build is still pretty fun. The player does have access to every ability NPCs can use (you have to unlock them though). The asymmetry comes from the fact Yue has like 5 equipped instead of being limited to 2 like the player.
Fantastic game feel and UI, felt really nice to see this level of polish. As TheCatMask mentioned though, it was difficult to understand what was going on (I didn't understand I had titles I could swap out until day 3). With that level of strategy added, I saw some value in adding a bunch of small segments to try to soak any abilities the enemy had... until I got the VP title and went back to one solid colour. Also, does the President tag actually do anything? I used it towards the end, but it doesn't seem like any effect happened. Anyway, phenomenal visuals, but maybe there needed to be some extra restrictions on your wheel to encourage more tactical thinking (like 3 minimum segments). Great job, especially for 7 days!
Metagame cog 85/126 (although it didn't seem to proc for me when I purposefully lost?)
Thank you for playing. Sorry about the on boarding. The president tag was suppose to invert the rps (eg. paper beats scissors) but I decided not to put it in since the game was already quite complex and it would be a weird surprise to find the relationships to be conditionally inconsistent. Some restrictions would be interesting.
Sorry about the meta game cog also, not sure why it isn’t working, I believe my game sets the cookie properly but maybe I messed something up.
THIS GAME'S UI WAS INSANE! This whole game is just really visually appealing tbh. Audio is also pretty well done! I do have to say, though, mechanics can be a bit confusing. It took me a little bit of time to fully understand, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty fun. Definitely hurts my brain a bit lol!
Sorry about the confusing gameplay, I really should’ve taken the time to add a tutorial haha. Thank you for playing!
Damn this game is cool! Was hard to figure out what I was doing wrong in the first two days until I realized I could go back from viewing the proposal and edit mine. Then it all clicked, albeit I still lost a lot haha. Sexy visuals and audio! On an ultrawide I had to turn off the crunch effect since it made things a bit too hard to see.
Sorry about the guidance issues! Thank you for playing!
First of all, the game is great, it feels like a complete experience. The visuals are great, the UI is clean, and the "combat" is innovative and well thought out. I do have a bit of an issue with the crush "fight". The powerups add a level of randomness that I didn't personally find fun. It feels like they change the wheel so much that diminishes my preparation. I could spend as much time as I want optimizing my wheel but as soon as the fight starts she does some powerups that I couldn't prepare for because they weren't displayed anywhere. The player sided powerups do help a bit with that but it doesn't stop it from feeling like I have no control over it. Crush fight frustrations aside, the game is extremely well polished and the team did a great job in such a short amount of time.
Yea, I agree hiding the abilities your work crush will use kinda sucks. Since I envisioned multiple attempts, I thought it would be fine but I can see where you’re coming from. The player does have access to all the same abilities the NPCs can use (Including abilities that counter the ones YUE uses). But the player has to unlock them and NPCs can equip way more than two. Thank you for the feedback, and thank you for playing!
Ooooo i love the visuals and polish on this!!, its crazy you did almost the whole thing solo?????? in 7 DAYS?????? was pretty confused at first but gosh dang theres a setting menu?, its like a full game almost?, its extremely impressive, great game!
Thank you for playing!
VERY cool take on the theme. I really like the idea of customizing my wheel before encounters and strategizing, could be a much bigger game AND I love the visual FX like the highlights/screen highlight when an option is selected, that was very cool and kept me around long enough to learn the game and realize I liked it
I’m happy you found it enjoyable! Thank you for playing!
This feels soooo polished! Really cute game
Thank you for playing!
OMG how have you done this in only 7 days?! This is soo good! The UI, the gameplay, the feel, all of it is so well polished and done! The only thing about it is the no obvious tutorial, but im just being picky here. But everything else is excellent! Well done :)
Just had to cut back on a little sleep haha. Sorry about the lack of tutorial! Thank you for playing!

It's such a polished game with amazing vibes and aesthetics! I love the design and animation of the UI elements. Everything feels lively and the gameplay has lots of depth. One of the best games I've seen in this jam!
Thank you for the praise! Thank you for playing!
I adore the visuals of this game, the vibes are immaculate, and it is shockingly polished. The gameplay is simple but fairly deep, especially considering titles. Top tier game.
Thanks for playing!
