A very charming and engrossing game! I especially liked the word-guessing part and clever design choices like using the same spell name more than once. I did sometimes get stuck because I had the right word but wasn't using it in the right place (for instance I was really sure "lighten" should work on the statue that says "it's too heavy to move").

Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful game.

Your catchy thumbnail immediately caught my attention and convinced me to give it a try. Despite the cute-looking characters, the puzzles were surprisingly challenging. I spent about three or four hours experimenting—freezing things, breaking things, and trying all sorts of unnecessary ideas—but I finally reached the ending. The final reveal completely surprised me, and the sense of accomplishment was incredibly rewarding.

The unique mechanic of typing spells was a little cumbersome at times, but I thought it was a clever way to represent gradually recovering forgotten memories. Because the illustrations for the spells were so simple, it took me quite a while to figure out what each one actually did. However, that made the moments of realization feel all the more satisfying. Every time something finally clicked, it was an amazing feeling.

Thank you for creating such a memorable experience. I truly enjoyed every moment of it.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm so happy I was able to create something that people really enjoyed! It was based on an idea I had thought of recently even before hearing about the jam, and I had been wanting to try participating in a game jam anyway, so when I heard of it, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try it out. And my results very much exceeded my expectations for myself! It's so heartwarming to hear that other people liked it so much as well.

I have been pretty busy since the jam, but when I find the time I want to play a bunch of the other submissions and I will definitely check yours out.

I have now updated the game to add sound effects and some other tweaks and fixes. The original version is available on this page with password: gamejam

(I may continue to make updates if I have time, but sound effects were the main thing I felt was missing.)

Note: The gameplay is complete, but I intend to make updates in the next week or so to add sound effects, more polish, and fixing any bugs reported. So check back a bit later if you want a more polished version! If you wish to play it now, have fun and please let me know if you encounter any bugs!

This was my first game jam and first (completed) game, and I had a great, if stressful, time making it!
