Overall I think it is an interesting interpretation of the theme. The idea of the story was intriguing and I liked the worldbuilding of a lack of silicon as the excuse for the tutorials disappearing, that was smart. There were a few issues I noticed where the hitbox of the USO and the spikes seemed bigger than they should be, and going West at the beginning leads you into an open area of nothing. It was also not always easy to read the tutorials due to the size of the boxes. I think this is a decent idea and can definitely be built from. The flying and downward laser of the USO feels unique and can make for some really good mechanics.
Hi
Good job on the tutorial, very well done and clear
I found that hitboxes were unfair, but the ufo's controls feels great, good job !
This reminded of skyroads for some reason, something about the ship jumping.
I also really liked the terminals for tutorial.
I think if it had some music and sounds it would be even better.
Very fun regardless :)
It's a really cool idea for a platformer game. I like the mechanics and I think it has a lot of potential if you want to work on it more. As it is, yes, the hitboxes are a bit big lol, but I like it for what it is.
Thanks for rating! I could definitely come back to it again, i have a lot of ideas for the "spin your mouse" mechanic, a sort of high skill ceiling rhythm based version of it!
The game is good, but the Spike hitboxes and the UFO hitboxes ARE REALLY BIG. It's almost always best to make hitboxes smaller than the object. Otherwise, great game
Hi, Thank you so much for playing our game! Im glad you liked it.
And yeah not gonna lie i did notice the hitbox thing, its kind of hard to miss. But given how short the game had to be i felt like leaning into some frustration/requiring almost unfair precision would be fun. But i guess i went too far haha! Thanks for the comment.
