Cute and fun :)
Others have already mentioned that the lives feel kind of punishing and unnecessary, and I have to agree. In fact, you might want to go a step further: let players skip to whatever checkpoint they want, or have separate small levels instead of one level with checkpoints. That way people can just try out all there is to the game without getting stuck. (I've made that exact mistake before as well though, and I know getting the same feedback again and again can be a bit frustrating, so, sorry for that)
The controls can feel a little floaty, but I suppose that's only fitting for a guinea pig in a ball. Also, I played using the touchpad of my laptop, so I suppose that made it a bit more difficult, and especially scrolling didn't work that great. Perhaps the mouse actions could have been assigned to the keyboard as well, but that is of course personal preference.
Thank you for the feedback, I never took into account people using a laptop. I probably won't carry on working on this game so I won't be able to add all the solutions to the problems brought up, however I will keep all the complaints in mind next time I make a game! Thank you again.

The core concept is very cool.
I really like that you do not added a jump button and forced us to play with the platforms. However, some parts of the track are not very satisfying to pass and the game flow could be improved. I've also managed to get stuck into some parts of the track as I do not have a jump button.
I also believe that the lives system is outdated. Once we hit a checkpoint, we could just die and go back there whenever we want as it is very annoying to get to the beggining of the level and pass those not pleasant parts again.

Cute and simple. It needs a bit of polishing but for a 1 week of work this is really awesome. I like that you explained the commands in the walls. You are just learning the commands as you play the game.
So creative and cool visuals but the movment can be improved
Very fun game! I loved the momentum and mechanics behind switching platforms. I do think the life system is a little bit too harsh for how long the course is, maybe make an easy mode with no lives? Great job on the game!
Thank you, I really like your game, I literally just rated it!
Had a really good time.. The scroll wheel ones were a little frustrating.... I think maybe some people have an unlocked scroll and some are more rigid. Mine doesn't continue to spin so i had to fight to get up those parts.. Maybe a callebration or setting or something could change that? Idk but I had fun
I really enjoyed the game. The visuals were clean and simple . The mechanics were easy to understand and get used to as the game progress . I felt that the lives could have been removed and some parts of the UI like the lives and the time were a bit cut off from my screen .
cool game
Had fun for sure. The use of the mouse for moving the platforms is creative. The player character is very cute. I think making it unlimited lives is best, or if you're really attached to lives, maybe every checkpoint the player gains a life?
I like that you can test the hamster movement in the menu screen. The introduction to the interactable obstacle movements is also well done.
I love the mechanic of the platforms being tied to mouse input. In particular, I enjoyed the sections where generating momentum with the red and blue platforms was necessary to progress.
One thing I would change is the limited lives system. The game would benefit from letting the play respawn at their last checkpoint no matter how many times they fail.
Overall, great jam entry!

Great platforming mechanics! The character and platforms feel good to control (except when clipping through a green platform). The worst part was the section with no controllable platforms. Also, I don't think the life system is necessary. The audio was way too quiet I couldn't hear it, options menu would be nice. Very fun and serious.
This game is fun, but I’ll echo what others have said. The limited lives thing don’t add anything to the game, and it’s more of an annoyance than anything.
For me personally, the best game of the gamejam, the aesthetics, the simple jet capturing mechanics. God dammit, guys, you made me jealous! 5 stars from me in every category
Thank you for the kind message.
really cool game, i dont get why there has to be a game over, it is just annoying, but the mechanics and everything are really cool and the player feels fun to play, also the UI is like at the edge of my screen, so i cant really see the speed-run timer. the main improvement i can suggest is to not make it so you have to restart
Could you please take a screenshot of the game UI on your screen so that I can have a better understanding of what's going wrong?
i tried but itch image uploading is buggy and it won't let me, the ui is just like barely visible from both sides of the screen and is just poking out from the sides
This is what it looks like for me so I don't know how to fix it
Super fun controls and pleasing audio, it was a bit hard towards the end
When you say it became hard at the end, was it a fun challenge or just annoying?
It was fun the first couple of tries, learning the new mechanics at the end of the level. After losing all my lives a couple of times it was a bit annoying to have to replay the whole level. Despite that I totally would have played more if there were extra levels!
Thank you, I was going to add more but I started later in the week so I didn't have enough time :(

Overall a good game, but I think the game should decide if it wants to be a rage game or not. The full reset after three deaths gets old pretty fast, and I think the game would be better without it.
When you say the deaths get old, do you mean it becomes annoying/frustrating? Just asking so that I can improve at making games :)
Yes! Specifically it is quite frustrating to go trough the entire level to get back, which I at least had to do several times for some of the challenging sections.
I'll keep that in mind next time I make a game since I just got used to the controls since I was making it. In fact, because I was getting so good at it I thought the number of lives should have been reduced XD. I'll do playtesting next time to get a better understanding of how people feel. Thank you for the feedback
Yeah that is quite a common issue in game dev :D Congratulations on being a pro gamer though
Lives are a bit unnecessary. And please shrink down the window, it barely fits on my monitor xD
I shrunk it down. Could you test if its better? I have a large monitor so I didn't take into account what other people would see.
