Very cool game and impressive to be carried out during a week, i certainly needs some polish but I felt very encouraged to try again. Very nice puzzle in the beggining and the world felt really big. There was some exploids and junk phisics typical of unity but it lead to some interesting exploits and speedrunning strats (rythmically tapping umbrella to surpass height limit and sticking to walls to recharg stamina). I would definetely want to see more about this game. Just, please, make that the only way I have to dodge enemies doesn't use up the only way I have to attack enemies.
Ah! Thanks for playing the game!
Thanks for trying the speed running strats I spent a lot of time making it streamlined to be used like that.
Yeah! The enemies are hard dodge and kill with limited battery and no other way to attack! I will look into it for the next major update!
Thank you again!
Really cool idea. The controls felt a little floaty, but it wasn't too bad, just a small inconvenience. You should try making the sound effects of walking and hat spinning ranomly shift by like 1 or 2 dB so they feel less repetitive as they started getting a little annoying. The art style of the characters doesn't quite fit the backgrounds, but it's still really cute. Overall, a very solid project, good job!
Thanks for playing the game and giving feedback!
The movement yes, I missed one line of code to revert the gravity to the original walk one when falling. So sad for it. The controller would have fit the scene so well.
I agree on the SFX part, will look into it once I learn how to tackle it!
About the art style, There is a difference because I made the character and enemies myself and the environment were pre-made assets. Though I don't love using them and losing the creative freedom, I had to use for the sake of completion. Would really make the art myself if I complete this flash game.
I am just too happy that my project actually has everything that I listed down to tackle.
That cute character is the one of the most loved things I had motivating me to complete this project.
Thanks again for the feedback! Would work on this game to actually polish it more.
I tried playing your game but pc couldn't start the game, so sad, though love the art in the screenshots you shared!
good controls, screen shake, the graphics in gereral amazing, nice that there is no info, you just figure it out by yourself, it was not hard, good job!
Thank you for playing!
It took a lot of will power to not add more markings saying the exact mechanics.
What was your best time though?
I like the artstyle in this game. Reminds me of shovel knight a bit.
One thing I'll say is that the platforms in the grasslands seem very spontaneous and don't really fit into the environment. Perhaps adding background tiles such as rocks or dirt that connect them together or make them stand out could help.
Thank you for the feedback!
I guess I nailed the original inspirations!
I was thinking what I could do to improve that area, it did feel off. I will update that area, later on. Thanks for that idea would think about it!
What was your best time?
love the propellor hat and the sound it made!
Thank you!
I feel good that my first ever pixel art turned Good first try 😄
It took me 4 hours to find that sfx!! Love it how it worked!!
Yahooo!
