'Copter dog is so stinkin' cute, I absolutely adore his propeller hat. But wow, this is tough! I think adding a few more stars or increasing the star timer would make it more forgiving. Basically, have it so that the player needs to be collecting at least every other one. Now, you may have also totally done this, but I'm bad and didn't get that far haha

Great visual style of all your assets! Totally oozing with charm!

So cute!! I love the music and the art. It was pretty tough, but that definitely seems like the point, with the Flappy Bird style gameplay and whatnot. The dog's hitbox felt appropriately generous for how floaty the controls were, and also the controls were just floaty enough to really sell the idea that you're just floating through the air. I also appreciated that the dog wrapped to the top or bottom of the screen if you went off the edge, made dealing with certain patterns a lot more interesting. So much fun! Great job :)

I love seeing PICO-8 games here!  The pixel art is great, and the background tune is really nice; everything feels very cohesive.

The movement is very floaty and took a while to get used to, but with some careful thought and planning it's possible to line up a few stars in a row.  The hitboxes on the birds are also somewhat forgiving, which is great.  I do wish there was a way for me to back out of a bad input (even just once or twice per run) instead of hopelessly watching the dog float up toward its inevitable doom 😂.

I also didn't immediately realize that the top of the screen wraps around to the bottom; I originally thought the game was completely impossible, but it becomes doable once you know that (still challenging, though!).

I had fun playing this one.  Nice work!

Cute! 'Copter Dog, love that concept. Game is immediately readable and its fun to retry and try to improve the score. Great soundtrack too. I do think with just that one button, the acceleration, the float, and gravity of the 'jump' all become quite critical to nail, and there may be a little bit of "push & pull" missing there, compared to say Flappy Bird where he sinks like a stone and the player can find a certain rhythm and flow in that. Still, that's almost a nitpick, this is a fine game and I enjoyed collecting stars!

Thanks for playing my game! I thought the same initially. The player used to play heavier, but I had to change it because it didn't feel right to me. Here's an earlier version:

What a cozy game! Music and art is pretty good! Gameplay was a bit challenging to me at first, but with some practise it's very easy to enjoy it. Good work!

Adored this one!! Had to check it out for myself after watching swagtastic play it. Love to see a game with a soul. Wonderful music. Hope you keep making stuff.

Thank you! PICO8's synth is clunky and junky, but I love music too much. I couldn't have learned it without Gruber's YouTube tutorials. I just wish I had time to make real Gameboy chiptune lol

Delightful! Love the music, it didn't get old and I like how it changes as you get a couple stars in.  At first I thought it was too difficult, until I discovered that it wrapped.  Nice job!

This is so CUTE! I liked the simplicity of the game and the music / SFX were great! My only suggestion for the player sprite is to make the spinning animation more apparent by cutting a pixel more on each side of the red center tip of the hat when it's not at the full width. The current 1 pixel shift between the hat animation is too small. I hope that makes sense. I had fun getting the stars and thought this being a flappy bird with top and bottom screen wrapping was cool. Awesome work!

Thanks for playing my game! Your animation suggestion for the propellerhead makes a lot of sense. I hesitate when pixelating sometimes. I just need to go for it instead. I'll eagerly wait until voting ends to spin this up.
