I thought it was a cool idea! My main concern here is the theme. You're incentivized to not spin for bonus points. blasphemy. /j
Anyway, have a wonderful day and good luck in the Jam!
I think it’s a pretty cool game, I was able to enjoy it in a casual, relaxed way! I like the rhythm while racking up points. The music fits the game really well.
thanks!
I enjoyed the talking rock - I think a unique character pointing out concepts was helpful and worked better for keeping my attention than if the tutorial was delivered without a character or narrator. You had a lot of good ideas for the various tablet actions and it was cool that they had bug and animal themes, bringing in a bit of an Inscryption vibe along with the Balatro inspiration. The art for them was simple but looked good and fit in with the game's visual style. Nice game!
i didn't really think of inscryption when making the tablets but i can see the similarity!
Cool concept, but it was too hard to understand for me. That rock giving me a wall of text (although split up into a dialogue) was kinda overwhelming, but also it's hard to understand what happens during the gameplay itself
i don't find the rock to be that big of a problem idk. i already told someone else that i ran out of time and wasn't able to add visual indicators for points and other stuff :c
Great concept!
thanks!
Fun game. I can see the Balatro inspiration. However, I found it a bit hard to follow the point scoring system. Maybe some clearing indication of what is giving points and how many would be a nice addition. But the cool, jazzy music made me feel particularly serious.
i wanted to do that but i ran out of time and wasn't able to add visuals for the scoring system :c
What a fun game! Kinda hard to get the rules in the beginning. The tutorial talked a lot. But man, it was fun when it clicked!
thanks! i couldn't spend a lot of time working on the tutorial so i kinda rushed it since i wanted to work on the more important stuff.
