Damn I definitely wasn't expecting any horror games in this jam but not bad dude. I'd say I was more stressed than scared tho because I just didn't want to lose my progress. But hey I won't lie my heart was pumping at the end making a mad dash to the exit door. One suggestion, I'd say give the player at least one place to hide in the beginning hallway, because on my first try I immediately got cornered by the guy there with nowhere to go.

The camera bloom/zoom when you sprint is a bit jarring. Got killed running away.

Developer

Thank your watching the show & the feedback!

Not what I expected, I didn't feel the tie in to spin to win, but nonetheless visuals were good, and the horror aspect + sense of urgency is done well.

Thank for watching the show & the kind words! ;)

I'll be honest, I wasn't quite prepared for how terrifying this would be! It might be worth adding a small warning on the page for those who aren't expecting it, or maybe I'm just a little too sensitive! x) Either way, the art direction is great, the sound design works really well, and the stalker is merciless but fair, which makes it all the more tense. Nice work!

Pretty solid horror game!

Enjoyment: 4/5

The gameplay is pretty fun, and the chase sequences aren't too punishing, as you get up to 3 hits before you lose. Me and my friend sadly stumbled upon a bug that made the red door unusable despite having collected the key, thus we ended up not finishing the game, but we got close enough.

Creativity & Theme: 3/5

I feel like only spinning 2 valves isn't the best use of the spin to win theme, but it's still there. I've seen a lot of other entries, including one other horror game, implement a spin mechanic in a more interesting way. Still, i can't say there is no spinning, the 2 valves do serve the purpose of winning after all.

Visuals: 4/5

Visuals look pretty nice, I just wish there was a bit more variety with the ambience, as all the rooms look very empty. I love the use of the lighting though, as you can sometimes see the exterminator's shadow on the walls, knowing he's there beforehand in a very creepy way.

Audio: 5/5

The audio fits very well and the chase theme is cool! The sound design also generally works well.

Seriousness: 4/5

Scary... pretty serious.

FINAL RATING: 4/5

The game is pretty fun and simple, although it is a pretty standard horror experience. Still a good entry though! :D

Developer

Thank you for watching the show & the honesty!

(I love the detailed feedback and transparency! I do hope even tho it was a standard horror experience, it was entertaining. Thx for the rating!)

Scary as hell. Impressive entry.

The sound design alone makes my heart race like crazy, and Mr. Angry Man has a really good design. The use of lights and shadows creates some genuinely scary moments.

Overall, impressive.

I do wish Mr. Angry Man didn’t appear near the beginning in a corridor with only one door, because I have to either juke him or take a hit just to advance.

Also, on my second or third run, I was about to get the blue key and find the last valve, but I clipped into the corner where the blue key is and got stuck.

Thank you for the kind words & watching the show!

We tried our best with our crew to create a scary place for the show. Mr. Angry Man sure does have a unique character (compliment will be forwarded to him, he's not such of an internet-man). We will make sure he doesn't go near the beginning corridor and fix your concerns.

(Thx for the feedback)

it's actually quite nice that the rats in this show can run and slide to avoid mr angryman. in other shows it's like they're sedated and get caught too easly once spotted.

can't wait to the what funhouse has in store for us next

Developer(+1)

Thank you for watching the show!

If the rats were sedated, that would be an easy kill for Mr. Angry man. That wouldn't be fun, now would it?

(Thx for playing!!)

It's simply perfection

YO I didn't expect something like this. Visuals are amazing, like I'm playing something triple A, very serious game. I couldn't really tie "spin to win" to this but nonetheless, solid jam entry that deserves more attention than it has.

lol, guy just dropped 1.4 patch right after I commented

Developer

Thank you so much! The spin to win is you are supposed to find the valves, take them to their place, spin them and only then u can escape. Thanks a lot playing :)
