This is incredibly well-made for something created in just a couple of days. The art and gameplay are fantastic!
Had a blast!
Very good! it's cool to see your take on this since i also did a similar-style game
This is pretty much perfect to me. I really don't have any criticism for this at all, except maybe to make it more visually clear that an exit is different after rotating, but I feel like that would take away from the joy of figuring that out. Amazing work! I can't believe one of my favorite games from this jam would be made in less than half the time everyone else was given!
Damn, was randomly scrolling through entries and this black and white cover caught my eye. I used a similar artstyle myself. In my experience jam puzzle games are either too tough or too easy but the level design on this one was perfect. Short and sweet. Tasteful sfx and sprites. Feels like it could be developed into a full game. Great job!
Wow, this is so clean! Well done level design. Fully thought I got stuck at one part (the two sliding boxes) as I had already gone through once to the initial bubble levels. Was about to give up, when I went back to do a few more rotations in one of the rooms and was able to discover a new doorway. So glad I did, as after a few more challenges I beat it! Really enjoy the additional pops of blue and red to highlight important features in each room.
Really cool take on the theme, as others have said. The art design is really awesome too with the high contrast and simple-tone pixel aesthetics making things stick out. Once it clicked and I figured out how to work the rotachine, I quickly got a grip of things.
Somehow managed to time travel backwards to the start accidentally, backtracking instead of taking what I assume was the intended path. Even then, it was really fun.
I think music would've helped improve it all, but the core game loop and mechanic were really solid, and for something made in two days it was well put together!
Cool take on the jam's theme! I also really liked how clean everything looks. There's something about the way the contrast is used in the art that's really pleasing to me.
The puzzles were fun once I understood how spinning the room changed the exits, but at first I thought I had softlocked the game. I'm not sure how you could make that clearer, though... sorry.
Overall, great game!
this game is good! i did accidentally softlock quite a few times here, but i didn't really mind because the game is quite beautiful and controls nicely, and also once you know what you're doing it's quick to get back to where you were. i think i need to come back later to try and actually beat it.
Fun game concept. dono if it buged out on me but i couldnt get past the first few screens, seemed to be in a a weird loop where i coudlnt progress? mabie thats the puzzle? looks cool too, giving me elechead vibes
This is such a cool game! An interesting, simple concept executed perfectly. I can't even begin to think about how hard level design for this would have been...
One of my favourite games of the jam so far! Only thing I would love to have been in the game is something like e.g. a counter how many diamonds you have already collected :)
This was a neat little concept. It feels like a game that Nitrome would make, and they have a lot of fun little games. The puzzles weren't too hard, but they also weren't too easy either, so it's good that you found a good middle point in there. Good job! Especially for 48 hours!
Wow, really awesome game. Hard to believe you came up and did it in 48 hours. It is short but extremely polished. Amazing job!
Made in 48 hours is craaaaazy! Nice work. My main nitpick is I wish 'jump' was W and not space to be a bit more intuitive with controls.
Very nice art and sound effects. Good job!
I wasn't able to get that far, because my 2 brain cells couldn't possibly cope with the intricately planned design of this game. I think that I would love to see a full version of this game come out!!
At some point I got soft-locked with a falling box on a track XD
But don't let that distract you from the fact this is an amazingly done game. The pixelart is gorgeous, the mechanic is so creative and I simply love pixel puzzle platformers. This is a masterpiece that with some more cool twists like said boxes (which would probably kill you if they fall on top of you) can be more than just a proof of concept
i think i got softlocked too (the room with two falling boxes), but you dont need to go backwards - rotating the map changes the doors
This is pretty fun, especially considering it was made in two days! Great job! I really like the black and white pixel art and background design, it makes me wonder what kinda world this little robo is in.
The doors being different on rotation threw me for a loop. I was pretty confused at first, fully expecting to be doing interesting backtracking puzzles that visited old rooms from new angles, but this is is fun too!
Would love to see this mechanic explored more! Its like fez almost.
This is pretty cool! I like the visuals and the puzzles
When I realized I wasn't rotating my screen but instead rotating the whole room I was in, I knew this game was slick. The visuals are also so pretty. The fact you did this in only 2 of the 7 days is crazy-o. Super duper awesome!
