Pretty awesome overall but I always die on the 3rd (or 4th maybe?) one...

Developer

Try to build up your RPM more by timing when you spin up so you have enough movement speed to avoid enemies but still have good RPM gain.

It's amazing—a bit buggy, sure, but the gameplay is super addictive; I love it! And the slow-motion shots when you blow up a Beyblade are incredible. Nice game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I have an update ready to fix the stutters I'll release when the rating period is over. Any other bugs I should be aware of?

That’s the only thing I really noticed, to be honest; the rest works well. You can clearly see the slowdown effects when you lose energy—it looks really cool. -Off

I really enjoyed this game.  The music was bumping and I think its been the best example of spinning tops fight to the death I've seen so far.  I liked the ability to recharge your spin but think it should have charged a little bit quicker to keep the game going longer.

Really great game but the sound is to loud!

Spinning fills me with power!

This was a really fun battle top game. The hits felt super satisfying, especially with the sparks, sound effects, slow-mo knockouts, and screen shake. I also liked that you actually control the top instead of just watching it spin around, it made the gameplay feel way more active than some of the other Beyblade-style games in the jam. The customization was a really nice touch too.

My main feedback is that the game can get a bit hard to read once things get chaotic, and some input feedback would help. A line from the mouse to the top, or a clearer indicator that clicking/holding is affecting movement, could make the controls easier to understand. I also noticed some lag/stutter when certain effects spawned, but overall this was polished, juicy, and really fun. Great work!

This was really fun!! Clicking to slow down was very helpful when I was spinning all over the place lol. One thing I saw in another beyblade-like game was a line drawn from the mouse to the top; I think that could be nice feedback in this game, just as another bit of feedback that my actions are doing something. Nice job!

It was genuinely a really fun game. I love the variety of Beyblades, something I haven't really seen any other Beyblade game do. The mechanics remain very simple to understand, which is exactly what I look for in a Beyblade game.  For me, it’s one of the best in terms of gameplay.

This looked really fun, and I tried playing for a couple minutes, but it still was causing a lot of lag for me even if I'm not on Firefox. The music was awesome, and the movement looked nice aside from the lag.

Developer

Were you playing on Chrome? There's currently some shader compilation issues that make it stutter a bit on the first play (specifically when the spark particles spawn for the first time and when a power up spawns for the first time) , but if it kept lagging after that's an unknown issue

I was using brave, which is chromium, so probably yea.

Developer

Brave usually runs it decent. Would recommend giving it another shot since the lag was probably just the shaders compiling, which only cause issues on the first run. If it still has issues I'd like to know more about your hardware specs and OS. Thanks!

I've played a few Beyblade-themed games, and this is definitely one of the most fun! I love how you made the mechanics easy to learn, which makes it very accessible for anyone picking it up for the first time.

I experienced a few minor lag spikes at the beginning and whenever certain objects spawned, but overall, great work! It turned out really good!

Awesome how many beyblade games there were this jam! I really liked how jumpy the visual effects were whenever colliding with other beyblades. Felt like they were really colliding with each other! I do wish the customize beyblade option was right after start game because once I tried the second one it was so much more enjoyable!

A very morish game that had me salivating for a higher score, great job!

I ended up scoring 13300 points!

Other than the lag on the first hit, this game was smooth and well-balanced. I really enjoyed learning how to optimize the gameplay of gaining spin speed and avoiding spinners. The fact that health = damage and hp regen = slower movement creates such a fantastic game loop imo.

The slow-mo effects when you knock out the other spinners is awesome! Reminds me of the smash bros ultimate kill screen.

Developer

Wow I think the highest I've gotten is around 12000. Thanks for playing!

That was a very fun game! This is the first battle top game I've played where you actually control yourself and can have an impact in the gameplay by dodging or attacking. The hits are very satisfying and I enjoyed myself very much!

Cool game idea but it ran very slowly on my machine (might just be firefox though) and froze whenever I hit something. The controls felt great though!! Nice job!

Developer

Yeah Firefox can not handle this game for some reason lol. Highly recommend giving it another shot on Chrome

Insanely fun game! I love beyblades so this was a instant hit for me. I'm using opera instead of chrome so it did have some stutters but didn't really effected gameplay all that much. Great work!

The game feel is really good!

Bouncing around hitting other battle tops and ejecting them was reaaaally satisfying. I can become very uncontrolable in these situations but I found the lack of control to be quite fun in itself.

The only gripe I have is that I found the game to be really hard after the first 4-5 waves, I guess you need to use the time between waves to increase your RPM so that when the next battle tops come you start moving fast to not take too much damage, but at some point I just couldn't keep up anyway, and if I tried increasing my RPM during a wave it most often than not resulting in getting hit and losing more RPM than what I gained.

Anyway, great game!

did quite well on the control I think! I play other bayblade games in this jam never thought this would be quite a heavy action game. well done! i didn't figure out that I could control the dir at first though, maybe some visuals to show the action and input?

Very well made! As a person that likes speed, I would have enjoyed it a bit more if the player was faster, but I had fun playing this game for fun. I liked the audio and those numbers that appeared on the screen, it made the expierience a lot better. Nice job!

Great job! the beyblade theme games are SUPER common, but this is one of the better ones I've seen. I really like the idea of using  health for other things, and I felt that the music and visual effects really added to the gameplay. I did think that some of the sound effects were pretty repetitive, but the music helped against that. Also it was super laggy for me, but I wasn't playing on chrome so that's my bad.
