this was one of the most unique games i tried in this jam, i really liked your art you really managed to make that guy creepy which fits to the game

Really good atmosphere, a good amount of disturbing, i could hear his voice in my head. Really well made!

Crazy good atmosphere, sound and visual design! I love the game show idea with horror elements and a super creepy host. Nice job! One of the most unique games I've played during this jam. Stands out a lot and deserves to be noticed!

Visually it's pretty damn cool and concept is great too. And while that last line of dialogue was actually kind of chilling, I was expecting some more horror from this game. Maybe something scarier (not necessarily jump scares, but something more, you know?) Either way it's a great game.

you did a really good job with the shaders and the assets

would be nice if we could choose between options in a later version of the game

The art is very good and I felt tense during the whole thing even though there wasn't a jumpscare or anything. It's a different kind of "uncomfortable" horror and I like it.

Interesting vibes! I was expecting a jumpscare or something to happen, but the game ended up being just dialogue, which is not bad, but I feel like there was something more that could have been explored here.

Personally I'm not a fan of horror that relies on jumpscares, so I completely avoided doing it that way. I feel like horror comes from unease, uncertainty, and discomfort. Plus it should be built through the atmosphere, sounds, and dialogue rather than jumpscares, but that's just my personal take!

tried and rated! I like your writing :3

I'd be happy if you tried our game too!

Really liked the concept and vibe, and the art is great! Although I'm not too sure how I feel about having 3 John Bucket teeths staring at me while playing haha. I do think that the wheel didn't play too much of a role in the game, since I couldn't tell if it was deciding the theme of the question or what it did. I was kind of expecting some more wheel-related dialogue if that makes sense? Maybe we could have gotten some deep traumatic lore of why John likes wheels so much, idk idk. I think that could have maybe tied into the theme a little more. But like I said, overall vibe and look of the game was super good!

I love the eerie vibe of this game, it really got me sucked in from the start! I adore creepy gameshow hosts so this was right up my alley. I wish there was a bit more interactivity with the wheel itself. But overall I think it was a good length and it built up to the ending well :]

Compared to the other entries in this jam, this game really stands out as unique. The visuals are beautifully executed and creepy,  the CRT effect plays a huge part in building that atmosphere (though I'll admit the signed letter at the start was a little tricky to read). The pacing builds tension nicely and cleverly subverts the usual tropes of general knowledge TV quiz shows, leaving you with plenty to think about which makes it all the more interesting! Excellent work!

This is a very polished game and maybe even one of the best I have played so far. I wonder if I would have made all the correct choices I would have changed the ending. Really good game. 10/10

Visually interesting and quite unsettling, really well done! It is funny how you can create a very clear and captivating atmosphere with 'just' some animations and story!

Really enjoyed the TV filter and how it blended in with the page. I think the wheel could have some more information on it to add stakes to what we are spinning for. Could be as simple as categories, or something more sinister to add to the theme. Overall solid entry

Absolutely brilliant, one of my favorite games from the jam! I loved how creepy and unsettling it was. Will definitely come back to try and get more endings.

Very creepy, you nailed that part!

Very scary game without even need of jumpscare. The atmosphere is top notch it boost the uncomfortable to the top.

This one has my favorite story out of the jam games I've played so far. Very unsettling.

And the host was absolutely amazing you nailed the art with them.

Really cool and unsettling game. The creepy game show vibe was super strong, and the CRT/VHS style, character art, dialogue, and sound design all worked together really well. John Bucket was genuinely creepy but also funny in a weird sarcastic way, which made the whole thing really memorable.

I do think the wheel could have affected the gameplay more, since it felt more like part of the presentation than a real mechanic, and some light background music could have added even more tension. Still, this was one of the most unique and polished narrative horror games I’ve played in the jam. Great work!
