Made it to day 3 more or less, there doesn't seem to be a proper fail state but I think she's had enough. Very unique entry with decent visuals! The music kind reminded me of being at the gym in a sims game. Very QWOP. Also I think she broke her leg.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and yeah, she is at least a little bit uncomfortable in that position, I belive. You are correct in that there’s no fail state, but there’s a win state you should have reached out you had gotten to the door slot machine on that third day. I realized most people probably have up before that though…

The pedaling part is how I feel when I run in a dream. Quite creative, the MC is giving a little bit uncanny valley when moving but that's their allure. The mini games were fun, overall I had a great time. Good job!

Wow what a game didn't expect a good lesson from a game. this one takes the seriousness (seriously) to a whole other level. Not sure if I was really looking into it to deep but the unnerving nature of the legs twisting in inhuman ways while you are training makes it unsettling and shows you the nature of the matter, the fact that the happiness meter increases despite you being about to collapse also says a lot, as if collapsing is the only way to take a break from this cycle, some feedback would be the controls didn't map to each leg easily for me and I had to try around for a bit to properly figure it out, and (spoilers I guess if you are reading before playing) I'm glad the ending is a good one!

Developer

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I will for sure re-rig the character from scratch and maybe add visual feedback on when which leg should be activated in future versions. Glad to hear you got the the end. Was getting a bit nervous that I had made the vicious part a bit too long for how frustrating it can get that no-one got to the end.

Good game! I really liked the Pedal part! Well done!

I really enjoyed it! The game had a satisfying difficulty in the main mechanic, and made it feel grueling enough to feel for the character, which helps drive the point home. Well done!

Interesting style and gameplay. The only thing I didnt really liked was the background music because its not really fitting, but maybe its just a me problem. Nonetheless really good entry!

Great stuff! Reminds me of QWOP. The sound effects are funny and the game explores a fairly serious topic while also making it light hearted. (My feet somehow went backwards too but my bike still worked so no complaints)

Pretty cool game! I really like the art style you went with and the interesting choice of gameplay style. It took me a while to figure out how to actually pedal the bike properly so maybe so more visual feedback there would be nice.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I actually think the reason the pedaling is a bit harder than it should isn’t as much communication as the physics of the legs making fighting against the pedal motion. But yeah I considered recording some “Left” “Right” voice lines and adding them in, but ran out of time and energy.

This was a great game. I love how you interpreted the theme as something so unique. I bet a lot of people can relate to what its saying. Also, the art fits perfectly into the type of game this is.
