This one's my favourite Beyblade game in this jam. Really like the Kill La Kill references all over the place, the difficulty curve, and how each opponent has their quirks. Really impressive story writing, visuals, intense battle music. As a wise one once said: absolute serious.

Loved the visuals so so much, the screw you place having a hitbox really made it difficult to both pay attention to picking a favorable spot and to place it without messing up my own spinner.

But managed to beat it regardless and had a lot of fun with it!

It was an incredibly fun game! The tutorial was very clear and well-done. I also really like the artwork. I like that the nails have hitboxes. (because it allows player to prevent yourself from being punished upon landing and restrict player opponent’s actions.)

very cool game.

Had a lot of fun with this one, great art and general style. The gameplay and story were super satisfying and the progressively more serious fighters with more dangerous abilities felt like a way more polished difficulty curve than you'd expect in a 7 day jam.

Excellent job!

amazing art, really good mechanics, a good difficulty curve, I havent played many submissions yet but I'm sure this'll be at least top 5!

Cool art, the main character remind me of Ash from pokemon. The music compliment the game play.  Its like an old arcade pure skill, like that every enemy do something new. If you expand the idea it will be a great game on its own.

Such a neat game for the duration of the game jam and great, great style :) I wished that the gauge for charging up your shot was a bit faster, sometimes it felt like a waiting game when I charged up for the 7th time :D but elsewise super clean!

Now that you say it I kinda of agree. Making it a second shorter or so would help with the game feel a bunch and it shouldn't affect balance and gameplay... Thank you for the feedback. Really really appreciate it!

Loved it, and played a lot. It is amazing how much you can do in a short time. Visuals are very good.

Absolutely amazing. The only minor complaint I have is the crowd background noise would get a little repetitive between matches. Other than that, superb game. I've never felt so determined to seek revenge for my totally dead father. I did lose to Torque's spike wheel the first time, but you better believe I got right back in there and kicked his ass the second round lol. I loved the characters, the twist, the art style, the gameplay, all of it.

Amazing job! It's crazy to see a game so polished and complete made in one week. The gameplay is cool, the graphics are incredible; I loved it. Congratulations.

The Kill la Kill aesthetic and references were the cherry on top. The game is already incredible, and this just makes it even better!

What's this? a BASED kill la kill enjoyer?!?! Hell yeah!

Glad you liked it.

I had a BLAST. Loved the art style, and tit felt juiced up just the right amount. I didn't beat the game though because I accidentally pressed the back button on my mouse so it reset the whole thing 🙁. But I had fun with the parts that I did play. The writing was also absolutely hilarious and deserves 6/5 stars for seriousness. One single note is that the freeze frames maybe were a little over the top and only made the game feel laggy instead of making the hits more impactful. Overall amazing though.

Having a hitstop on the walls was a mistake ye. When I was developing the game I didn't think much of it but seeing people play it definetly bothers me a bit.

Also it sucks that happened! The issue comes from right clicking outside of the game screen in windowed mode and then left clicking in the menu that you've opened. I'm aware of the bug and it super sucks that I realized once the sumbissions closed... Oh well.

Just for you I show you the final screen:

The mc is actually at her syster's workplace and wants to play with her. At end you fight against her and then she buys you an icecream and go back home together.

That's so wholesome 🥹

Extremely serious game

I did take a bit of time before getting that the nail is physically  part of the gameworld, that's a cool idea

I love the contrast between the happy little contest and the edge lord main character

Every opponent have its technique and made each battle unique

The gameplay has a great feeling, The art has a vibrant personality, the sound design is great, the story is funny. What can I say except excellent work !

The game is absolutely beautiful. I really liked the control mechanics—they were fun and felt very polished. You managed to accomplish a lot in such a short amount of time. Congratulations!

MAIDEN: LESS

yeah this is a 10/10 no notes from me bud, favourite game of the jam so far.

Finally got around to playing this one, and what a treat. Everything is so tight - one of the best tutorials I've seen in a jam game, the slow unravelling of the anime edgelord plot, the writing (!), the dead-simple controls, the little screw from your charge attack having a hitbox, the subtle health regen that's enough to prevent some unnecessary restarts but not enough to trivialize fights (I thought it would, then I got hit three or four times right as I was about to finish off 'Nam Guy and exploded), each boss having its own gimmick that slowly escalates in difficulty until the final boss...

This is also one of the few games I've played so far that really takes a genuine shot at being serious. A lot of games have either not touched that part of the theme or just did some lampshading in the title or something, but this game goes all-in on the adolescent weeaboo angle - it's not serious to us on the outside, but every child, teenager, and unstable veteran taking it so seriously is so charming.
